i would like to ask your opinion relevant to ldn and stiffness.

a friend of mine using ldn since last november asked me if it's

possible to ge something to reduce the stiffnes in the legs present

since when he started getting ldn.

i prefered to wait for your suggestion before to answer.

low dose naltrexone

Subject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] ldn and stiffness

emiliano, I don't have MS but it is interesting to note that those of us who

don't, don't seem to have any stiffness from LDN, so I wonder why this should be

when you do? An interesting observation..................

Emiliano,

You don't say if your friend has MS or not, but this is my experience:

I do not have MS, but I experienced increased stiffness on 4.5mg and

had to drop back to 3mg. I occasionally up the dose to 4.5mg for a few

days when I feel I need it. As I have already stated in previous

posts, it is up to the individual to be aware of their own body and

dose themselves accordingly. There is no right or wrong answer to this

question. Your friend needs to try different doses to see what is best

for him/herself.

I even tried taking no LDN for a few days, " just to see what would

happen " . I became so stiff I could barely get out of my chair, let

alone walk normally. At least I convinced myself that the LDN was

working for me. Who knows why 3mg works, yet 4.5mg seems too much? I

don't know, and I don't care - that it works is enough for me. :)

Hope this helps ~ regards, Nettie

Sorry Emiliano but that is not what he said and saying that could worry

a lot of MSers! Dr Bihari still wants all people to get to 4.5mg if

possible, but if stiffness prevents them from doing so then 3.0mg will

have to suffice.

ok gary, probably i got the information on the ldn web site, where is

written:

People who have multiple sclerosis that has led to muscle spasms are

advised to begin LDN treatment with just 3mg daily and to maintain that

dosage.

i thought that was a note from dr bihari.

anyway for me 3 mg are ok,if i encrease the dosage stiffness arises
