Regarding NACP III implementation at the district level

Dear Forum,

As per NACP III the districts will have AIDS control units and DPM will head the

unit. But in Tamilnadu, eventhough TANSACS got NACP III funds, why the district

units are not functioning and also only some of the districts have got DPMs.

Also some districts have ICTC supervisor and some districts the post is not

filled. The ART centers are also not having enough counselors in accordance with

the number of clients.

Most of the forum members and the government spent time in formulating the NACP

III guidelines but at the end of it the implementation has got lot of gaps.

Can the forum members brainstorm on this so as to fasten the NACP III

implementation in Tamilnadu for the betterment of HIV/AIDS services.
