I can clarify for you, as when I was taking tramadol Dr. Gluck immediately wrote to me and told me that it was very dangerous to be taking any medication with an opioid receptor in it, and Tramadol does. So I got busyu and checked out my meds, (I have FMS) and made sure nothing else did.

[low dose naltrexone] LDN & Tramadol

To All;

I've been on 3 mg LDN four years, tried 3.5, 4 & 4.5 mg each for two weeks, found 3.5 mg seem to work best for me, I seemed to have leg pain with 4.5 mg, or should I have tried the 4.5 longer to get the full benefit?

I've been taking 50 mg TramadoI with my LDN and haven't noticed any problems, I have read here about Tramadol being dangerous taken with LDN or not getting the full benefit of LDN when taking Tramadol, could anyone clarify this for me?

Best regards,

Jim H. (ND)

Hi Jan,

Thanks for your response to Tramadol, could you tell me if the combination of LDN and Tramadol cause heart fibrillation or what are the side effects. I've never had heart problems, the doctor put me on a blood thinner until I see a cardiovascular doctor 1/6/09. I took a Tramadol at 8 a.m. and about a hour later I noticed a little fibrillation and now 3 hours later it's seems to be almost gone.

Best regards,
