Guest guest
Hi Aletha, Congrats on the new baby. That is very encouraging. I also have PCOS and I joined this group because I read about an experimental LDN trial that a doctor did with 30 PCOS patients in Egypt. I have already had 2 children with the help of Metformin (which I still take) and fertility drugs so I'm not necessarily interested in the fertility aspect of it although I know some others with PCOS that would be. I was wondering if she had other improvements of PCOS symptoms in the 4 mos, specifically weight loss? Also, did she take any other meds at the time with the LDN? Thanks for any info, Cassie From: Aletha Wittmann <Aletha@...>Subject: [low dose naltrexone] Re:LDN & Endometriosislow dose naltrexone Date: Thursday, October 16, 2008, 12:54 AM Dear , My daughter has PCOS & endometriosis, which I think can be related in some ways (not entirely sure about this). She had an operation back about 4 years ago to remove stuff in the lining of her uterus and on her F. Tubes and on one of her ovaries. The operation went well. But she later had more symptoms for PCOS and pain come up. Natasha had did not use contraceptives for over 4 years and did not get pregnant. Her father who takes LDN for MS, talked her into trying LDN. When she started taking LDN I could visibly see the difference and her personality seemed more even as well. Then within 2 months of being on LDN she got pregnant. Last week she had a beautiful baby boy. Once Natasha knew she was pregnant she went off of LDN. So she was only on it for about 4 months total. I tried to talk her into staying on it during the pregnancy, but she was worried about taking a chemical while pregnant. I am hoping she will go back on soon. I hope that helps Aletha
