Guest guest
This past summer (2008) I was told my body was " trying to form lupus " . I had three out of the four required symptoms to meet the diagnostic criteria for SLE. I had rashes, a plethora neurological symptoms, and arthralgias. My doctor was so shocked by my high ANA titer, he ordered a re-test to ensure it wasn't a false positive. That titer was 1:640. Mid-August I started LDN. (I had ordered it four months earlier and looked at it because of being scared - now I chuckle at myself.) Well, I went for a follow up last month and received the lab results today. The ANA was NEGATIVE!! This suggests that in just three short months, I achieved eliminating auto-antibodies. I'm ohhhh sooo excited. I'm going to keep taking the LDN as it also appears I've had Lyme for 30+ years and was just diagnosed 10 weeks ago. It also appears the years of lyme may have challenged the immune system enough to spark the autoimmune process and the LDN appears to have stopped that process. As far as I'm concerned I'm ANA free! Now . . . on to kill-off the nasty Lyme!
