Thumbs up for LDN

After a few months of educating my Nueroligist on LDN via books and

some of the online posts he finally agreed to give me a perscription

for LDN! I've been on Tysabri infusions for 9 months with no

progression and I have felt pretty good but, I know in my heart and

after hearing bits of great feedback from this group, I'm going to

give LDN a try! My Doc is a big fan of Tysabri and is not to happy

that I need to stop that treatment in order to give LDN a fair stand

alone try. I recently was reading articles and feedback from many

Docs that perscribe Tysabri and its clear that most of them thought

that taking a " holiday " from Tysabri is recommended after a year of

infusions. So I'm going to take this " holiday " from Tysabri and try

LDN.

I have a few questions for the group:

1. How long should I be on LDN before I can make a realistic

judgement about how I've done with it?

2.Also I take several other meds as part of my MS treatment suite

like Detral LA, Bachlofin and Zoloft. Should I be off all of those as

well as Tysabri while I'm taking LDN?

3. Should I start with 1.5 or 4.5 dosage of LDN?

Thanks for all the great posts from this group that I've read over

the past 3 months. It's really given me the courage to make this

treatment change.

1. Give LDN 6-9 months, or longer, trial period. The purpose of LDN

is to slow/halt disease progression, symptom improvement is a bonus

not experienced by everyone.

2. You can continue taking those medications while using LDN.

3. Some say to start LDN at 1.5mgs, next month go to 3mgs, following

month 4.5mgs.
