Guest guest
Here's a thread I'm involved in on one of the Google Newsgroups: I wrote: >I post about LDN because that is what I take for my MS. That is all. >If Avonex, Copaxone and Novantrone had been successful for me I >would be posting about them, but they weren't, just the opposite. >I am not here to sell anything nor to hurt anyone, only to share >that which has worked for me, so far. I have MS just like everyone >else here and I wish I didn't. >I wish you a Merry Christmas and I really mean that, too. This mind-numbed robot replied: And I take Betaseron because it works for me. With MS, different people respond to different medications, just like different people have different symptoms, many worse than others. LDN has never been studied so why would I risk taking this unproven medicine which may cause me to have a major exacerbation with lingering effects? Go off of the Betaseron to try something that is " supposed " to work, but nobody knows for sure? Sounds like taking a very unhealthy risk to me. If you take it and you think it's working for YOU, go ahead. But don't go around telling others with MS what they should or shouldn't be doing or taking. Come on back after careful studies have been done and you can prove it is a proper medication. My neuro said it's nothing but snake oil and people who claim it works for them are probably having a placebo effect. You disagree? Prove it. My doctor is a University of Michigan Neuro and he specializes in MS only. As long as a U of M doctor writes my script for any of the MS drugs, I pay NOTHING. U of M picks up the entire amount, even the copay and even ships it free to my door. I'm sure this a quite an expense to them and if this LDN worked, the University would force the doctors to try this " medicine " since it's so cheap. Just my 2¢ worth! -- I answered this person with this: Veterinarians are using LDN to treat animals for different illnesses. Dogs, cats, horses, etc. Can animals experience a placebo effect? Guest guest
Nice Art! So we're all just having a placebo effect?? ARGH! This is why medicine is going nowhere and stays in the same mind numbing paradigm.. You put a smile on my face. Guest guest
Hi Art, What gets me is do people actually believe their "approved" drugs have "careful" studies that "prove their worth? There are so many incidents of these scam studies and payoffs to the fda coming to the media these days, not sure how anyone could have faith in these lying drug companies and their worthless and very harmful drugs! For some reason...easier, I guess, many people want to abdicate their care to some white coat, whether they feel better or worse. Sad, but, their choice and all we can do is give them the info and on the next. I know 2 people who have MS and told both about LDN. Neither, to my knowledge, has looked into it. One is doing poorly, so, don't know why he wouldn't look at the info. The other is doing well and did buy a book from a Naturepath I recommended who cured her MS naturally and is following her protocol and feeling much better when she sticks with it.
