Guest guest
Since this is such a popular topic lately, here is a collection of Andy's postings on DMSA oxidation and how to store it in juices, etc. /message/46817 /message/120570 /message/201666 /message/229365 http://onibasu.com/archives/am/98819.html http://onibasu.com/archives/am/98820.html http://onibasu.com/archives/am/120350.html Btw, another alternative to breaking capsules is to find a compounding pharmacy that can make capsules (of DMSA, ALA, or DMSA+ALA) in whatever dose sizes that you want. That's more expensive, but also saves the work/worrying. > > > > > > Is it okay, if starting with just dmsa/every 4 hours - to mix it > into > > > water just before dosing ? > > > > > > You can put it in water or food right before dosing. > > > > > > > > The caps I have are 25mg. Guest guest
Thanks for finding these links on DMSA oxidation.. I've added them to the following wiki page (which had only a few of Andy's posts on this subject before): http://onibasu.com/wiki/Cutler_protocol#Forms_of_dosing Jay > > > > > > > > Is it okay, if starting with just dmsa/every 4 hours - to mix it > > into > > > > water just before dosing ? > > > > > > > > > You can put it in water or food right before dosing. > > > > > > > > > > > > The caps I have are 25mg. Guest guest
thanks for the posts. The info I gathered from them is if I break open a capsule of DMSA I should re-capsule the remainder until I am ready to use it. Hope I got it right now. Because it will oxidize, whetehr in liquid or open to the air in powder form. It can be mixed with water if RIGHT before dosing. Is this correct ? Guest guest
Thanks so much, Jay. Great wiki, btw. Might it also be possible to add this? http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pNNg2ghmPcBTKUD6u89SaFg & hl=en That's a spreadsheet that I developed showing Andy's *rough* estimates of brain mercury decay using the data from one of the other postings on your wiki. It hasn't been officially blessed by Andy, but I think it's ok. [i've always wondered whether the range in decay rates was due to dosing at 1/8th vs. 1/2 mg per lb, or whether it was due to individual differences. That's quite a range... If you know, please advise.]
Guest guest
I would like to see Andy's comments on the estimates before including them in the wiki. Especially because the people most interested in it are probably those just starting out and those who are frustrated with progress. I did come across an old post of his saying he thinks it takes between 100-300 rounds for a mercury poisoned child to become really healthy. It would be good to get an updated view on how long it takes to finish the whole process & see how well it fits the estimates. Jay > > Thanks so much, Jay. Guest guest
Andy's comments are always welcome, but the spreadsheet is little more than a graphing of this rough estimate from him (which came from your wiki): http://onibasu.com/archives/am/113375.html I asked him about it previously, and he seemed fine with it as long as people knew that it was a rough estimate. Hence I tried to emphasize that in the graph title. Hope this helps. > > > > Thanks so much, Jay.
