The programme officers of NSS are to be trained as AIDS councellors

Dear FORUM,

This forum is doing very godd job regarding the aids awareness.

Let me acknowledge that almost all NGOs are doing their job sincerely. At the

same time I would like to suggest that all the organisations work together and

take the teaching professionals help at groos root level toeducate the people.

In Andhra Pradesh the National Service Scheme  is trtying to motivate the people

with the help of their volunteers. But this is doing in particular vacations

only.

In my opinion, if the programme officers of NSS were treated as AIDS coucellors

and train them in this aspect they will try to educate the people.

One more thing I would like inform that the voulenteers in the hospitals are

less in number and the workload is more to them. If the school and college

teachers get training through this forum it will be helpful to the society.
