I have a great DAN! dr and nutrionist that work hand in hand .  They are located

downtown Montreal. Their names are  Dr. Janice Goldfarb and Moyal, and

they have done great things for my son.  He is 12yrs old (soon 13yrs old).  He

had severe autism and now is high functioning-moderate. My son is half way

recovered and is continuing to make many gains. It is called the Westmount

Wellness Center and their no. is 514 448-9777. You can tell them I referred you

(Jordan's mom , Heleni)

Good Luck,

Heleni

My Aunt spoke very highly of Dr. Coombs in Balderson, ONT (613)267-2523.

She described him as conscientious, careful, and effective with kids with

Autism. He is a naturopath. i believe he has a child on spectrum. Best of

luck, Alison M

Marie and Maurcio,

Below is an old post I wrote that you may find helpful.

" We sent our samples to a lab in Calgary (Calgary Laboratory

Services), but they forwarded the samples to London Laboratory

Services Group, Box 5010, London, Ontario. I *think* this is the only

lab that does the UTM.

I do think the results were reliable. The only problem we had was the

lab releasing the results to me. They wouldn't because they said I

had contaminated the sample as ds's levels were sky high in things

likealuminum (50 times the reference range), uranium, (13 times the

ref range, etc) so it took a lot of phone calls and explaining to the

Calgary lab who then convinced them to run the test again. It was a

good learning moment for some people at the Calgary lab, who couldn't

believe that a kid could be so toxic.

Your doctor's req needs to be very clear as to what tests they need to

run as it isn't all one group like at DDI. "

I hope this might help.

You are very welcome.

The Westmount Wellness center has done all kinds of lab test for my son. We did

blood and urine tests to determine allergies, missing vitamins, we did

a challege test ( we chose the challenge test but there are many other tests

they offer you) to determine heavy metals. Hair, nail analysis...and we have all

kinds of tests coming up as well...the streptcococcal test (will detremine if my

son has pandas), the viral screen profile, etc..the last two we will do later

on.  At the moment we are chelating my son from heavy metals, he tested high

with lead and tin. They are very thorough, they do one test at a time. If they

feel he has fully recovered they said he might not need to do any of the other

tests. For us, chelation is going great, it looks like it might have been the

one major factor of my son's autism....I pray and hope that he will recover

soon...You asked if  I know of a lab in Montreal that test candid albicans, not

sure I know what that is

(sorry) but if anyone knows it would be the the Westmount Center. They offer

you many different test, they tell you which they recommend but ultametely you

tell them which you want done and which fits your pocket financially. They also

tell you to get some tests done at the local clinic in order to save you some

money. Ex. in a few weeks we have a referal from Dr. G to get  blood tests done

to make sure  chelation hasn't depleted him of anything.  She said we could do

it here but it cost you, so why pay when it can be done for free. They also have

a pharmacy they send you to to get all prescribed items compounded (ex.b12

shots , dmsa).  lastly they have a center downstairs  from the clinic which

carries all kinds of vitamins, supps, etc..Kirkman brand etc..they don't

force anything  on you , they actually tell you shop around! Please let me know

if you need any other info...where to shop what...I am all over the place...we

have to, because it

becomes very expensive.but SOOOO worth it.

Take care,

PS. If I may ask, what is your  child's diagnosis?
