Guest guest
Hello!! We do diet (gluten and dairy free), supplements, and doing chelation of ALA and DMSA every 3 hours daytime/4 hours nighttime from Friday-Monday. We are just on a little break until end of October. I noticed my son having major improvements with chelation. That is something that probably helps these kids the most besides getting rid of the things in the diet that these kids are reacting to. Chelation seems scary when thinking about it but get it started ASAP so can start getting metals out of brain and body (as long as your son does not have any amalgram fillings). I think Andy's Cutler's chelation approach is the best but you have to research and make your own mind up. Your DAN may have another approach but you have to research for yourself and if you want a certain one you will need to advocate for you son and yourself. I do not let any doctor do any treatment nowdays without researching things first. So now I am in drivers seat for my son's care instead of the other way around. Guest guest
Hello again and one more thing. Any information and questions you want answered on Andy's Cutler's Chelation protocol can be found at: http://onibasu.com/wiki/Cutler_protocol#When_you_are_not_sure_if_there _is_a_mercury_problem If you DAN doctor wants to do a challenge test do not let him or her. You can read about Andy's response to why at the above web address. You can do a hair elements test from Doctor's Data at : http://www.directlabs.com/DrsData.php You can get ALA from Kirkman's labs at: http://www.kirkmanlabs.com/ You can get DMSA from Vitamin Research Products: http://www.vrp.com/ Some people do chelation on their own without a doctor and some people use a doctor for chelation Hope this helps!! Guest guest
> From what I read there doesn't seem to be a natural mercury chelator? Depending on your definition of " natural chelator " , I used alpha lipoic acid [ALA], which I bought at my local health food store. You can also buy it at online places like Kirkman. Guest guest
thanks kay. it was cutlers words that made me question the oral challenge the dan recommended. which is why i came here. what he said made sense too. the dan gave me an rx for dmsa, which the state insurance actually covered. we did a hairstrand that showed toxic amounts of almost everything, EXCEPT MERCURY! believe it to be hiding just like in me from all the years of fillings. i almost wanted to do just ala but cutler recommended the dmsa first. thanks. Guest guest
To check for mercury toxicity you need to apply the counting rules to the results from the DDI hair elements test.
