Guest guest
Hi Sophie You are right this does not meet any counting rules although it is 1 short of counting rule 3 and technically speaking 1 short of counting rule 5. As aluminium is very high along with fairly elevated levels of antimony, nickel and tin, and as mercury is very low this is often associated with mercury toxicity, therefore in my opinion there is more than a reasonable likelihood that mercury toxicity is present although not conclusive. Most of the ratios are fine except for the following sodium/ potassium is low (ref range 1-5) 0.49 on the hair test which suggests that your dd is not producing a lot of adrenaline this often suggests poor mood and may well be related to the Zinc/cadmium ratio ref range (>8oo) hair test 739 and also copper being very high this also suggests low adrenal function and may also suggest that cadmium in the yellow is more toxic than it would otherwise be. Also the Zinc/copper ratio is low too (ref range 4-20) hair test 2.66 Normally I would suggest chelation with ALA perhaps combined with DMSA if cadmium is a problem or if your dd is like my son and has trouble with ALA alone as per Andy's protocol. I think that this will have to be done at some stage but from what I have read in Andy's HTI book it may be wise to get the copper levels down 1st. For this to be done Zinc should be given with every meal and Molybdenum (10-30mcg per pound of body weight per child) and supplements that improve bile flow such as Taurine glycine, milk thistle Also Vitamin C should be helpful. I would also ask for Andy's help regarding this test particularly regarding the Zinc/Cadmium ratio and the high copper levels with regard to chelation. As you may have noticed I have changed the heading putting in Andy in the hope of attracting his attention as I feel his help would be useful here, as the copper level is below 75 he may feel that chelation can start sooner. I'm sorry that I could not be more definitive regarding the high copper. Guest guest
I'd reason a little differently but I'd get the same place Ken did here > Normally I would suggest chelation with ALA perhaps combined with > DMSA if cadmium is a problem or if your dd is like my son and has > trouble with ALA alone as per Andy's protocol. Guest guest
ok so it sounds like i need to work on lowering Cu. Ken is also suggesting that Hg may still be present, and i recently got french porphyrins test results indicating moderate mercury and xenobiotic toxicity. Should i be considering DMSA only until Cu comes down ? any idea how long this may take ? and what would be the best way to monitor Cu level ? After Cu drops to normal then start DMSA + ALA ? -sophie > > I'd reason a little differently but I'd get the same place Ken did here > > > Normally I would suggest chelation with ALA perhaps combined with > > DMSA if cadmium is a problem or if your dd is like my son and has > > trouble with ALA alone as per Andy's protocol. Guest guest
thanks so much Andy, Ken, and for your responses Andy, I am looking forward to reading your books when they arrive. I would also like to reserve the right or rather privilege of asking another question or two to all of you kind and knowledgeable souls. -sophie In , " andrewhallcutler " <AndyCutler@...> wrote: > > > > > > > > I'd reason a little differently but I'd get the same place Ken did > > here > > > > > > > Normally I would suggest chelation with ALA perhaps combined with > > > > DMSA if cadmium is a problem or if your dd is like my son and has > > > > trouble with ALA alone as per Andy's protocol.
