Guest guest
Hi all list members I've been a mamber of this list for a long time...this is my 1st post as i was mainly reading about your individual excperiences & really learning alot from all the wonderful people on this list... plz allow me to tell you a bit about my own experience I'm a child psychiatrist from Egypt. I run the only Autism Center in a rural part of my country. I have worked with families & children on the spectrum for about 5 years now...I myself have ADD with all it's glory ...I also have a DD with ADHD & mainly deal with it through alternative approaches & refuse to take meds for it... Autism is a very new diagnosis in Egypt especially where I work... We suffer in educating doctors & lay people about it...even pediaticians don't know what it is.... We also struggle with the stigma & the schools ...among many things... The moms i work with are amazing women who do their best & fight against the system for the sake of their kids What really bothers me these days that at the center we only offer Behavioral therapy, speech & sensory integration I bought the book children with starving minds & started collaberating with a pediatrician ...in hopes of impliminting some of the great ideas of the book i'm also planning to attend 2 conferences in november the 1st is the Ohio Autism Summit http://www.autismcleveland.com/ & the NATTAP conference http://www.nattapconference.org/ Hopefully I'm looking for training opportunities in the biomedical approach. I hope some of you can give some feedback & tell me what you think Thanks for your help & support so far & good luck to everyone on their amazing journy Musheera Anis
Guest guest
Hello Musheera, Blessings to you on your endeavor to add biomedical approaches to your center. Keep up the fight for all of these children! The DAN conferences and Autism One are good conferences for biomed learning. Do you have any docs interested in the topic? I've been unsuccessfully trying to get our docs to one of the conferences so that local families don't have to travel for medical help. Starting with the diet might be a good beginning. The GFCFdiet website may help with that. A certain percentage of kids make great changes with just the diet. We are glad you are here! Guest guest
My two books are far cheaper than attending any conference, and will tell you how to get a lot of those kids (and perhaps yourself) better. Hair Test Interpretation: Finding Hidden Toxicities, which has dozens of case reports on autistic children, plus clear, lucid chelation instructions; www.noamalgam.com/hairtestbook.html and Amalgam Illness: Diagnosis and Treatment, which is a reference text on mercury toxicity and on everything you can do for symptomatic support of toxic individuals. www.noamalgam.com Andy > > > > > > Hi all list members > I've been a mamber of this list for a long time...this is my 1st post as i was mainly reading about your individual excperiences & really learning alot from all the wonderful people on this list... > plz allow me to tell you a bit about my own experience > > > > I'm a child psychiatrist from Egypt.
