Sharon,

The fact that you tried is a wonderful effort on your

part. You are still adjusting to your implants and

I'm sure that doing this was a tremendous challenge

but appreciated by those who you helped.

I've often thought that CI users would make great ASL

interpreters. Sounds like it could work.

The email I got said that they want to be more inclusive of all people

with hearing loss, not just " hard of hearing " ; so changed their name in

the effort to change that image of " selective group " .

Does anyone know the reason for SHHH changing its name?

Andy certainly deserves this award. Wouldn't it be nice if he got

credit for his work in his lifetime? Does anyone have time to write

up the nomination statement? Is this something that each individual

would send in or would we send it in as a group?

, I can do it. I would love to have some input from those who

have been around here for a long time. Does he have a bio

somewhere? Send your messages to esoliday@... and I will

compile them in a group submission. Specifically, I need help with

the answers to these requirements:

I think this is a great idea. I really believe one day Andy will

be regarded as a genius by the masses. Right now he's fringe, but

fringe with staying power and slowly gaining strength! Hope this

doesn't embarrass him.
