Guest guest
There is a supplement file in the list files, at the end of it, it has a list of supplements for chelation. Compare that to what she is taking to see what she needs more of. I do not see liver support, so I suggest milk thistle. The spectrum complete and minerall are fine. I don't see any probiotics. and with all that anti-yeast stuff, she needs to be on probiotics. I would hold out on the GSE because she is already on Nystatin and Yeast Aid...so you are already on two antifungals with no probiotics. I would not suggest that, nor adding gse at this time. If she were to stop the yeast aid and nystatin at some point, then she can use the gse instead of the other two. But not all three. And 125mg is not too much. That is one tablet. You would start her at 1/2 tablet if and when she did use it. The liquid tastes horrible and it harder to get children to take..or anyone for that matter. It does make a good skin wash though. The tapping/touching...she needs probiotics! The touching indicates a yeast problem there too. You are killing off all gut bacteria with the yeast aid and nystatin and not replacing the good gut flora. So get some probiotics. the other symptoms might be helped with more vitamin C during chelation and for a day or so afterwards. (again, check the list of supplements which are dosed by weight, see what she's lacking or not getting enough of)I know that Spectrum Complete does not have enough on it's own of many of the vitamins. If she can read English, send her the files from this board on chelation. Andy's protocol, the supplement file are the basics she would need. If she has no email, print them out and mail them to her. > > My client, 48lbs. 6 year and 10months old girl, just started > chelation using DMSA(5mg) and ALA(5mg). > > Her mom asked me about supplements for her but I don't know too much > about it. I would appreciate any suggestion. > I would need a copy of the whole hair test to tell you a lot, it can be uploaded to the files for veiwing if you are able to scan it into your computer or have a pdf of it. Was this test done by Doctors Data Inc.? You would need to post reference ranges and basically the entire test. But..just from what you posted below, her aluminum and mercury are too high. If they are in the red..she's toxic. And the other metals all seem to be high as well. They should be in the green, and none of them are. I would have to say that chelation is what she needs to continue. > Currently, heris giving her: > > kirkman spectrum complete 1/2teaspoon twice a day > kirkman Advanced Mineral Support 1capsule twice a day > kirkman yeast aid 1/2teaspoon twice a day > kirkman magnesium 1/2teaspoon a day > huston trienza with every meal (she is on GFCF diet) > oil of olegano 3 drops twice a day > jarrows EPA/DHA balance (omega3) 1cupsule a day > nystatin > > i think she needs to add zinc and vit.c and some other supplements. > > she just recieved gse125mg(tablet)but i felt that it is too much dose > for her...is liquid form better??. > > He mom using andy's protocol doing 3days on 4 days off. Guest guest
Jan, Thank you very much for your suggestions. I will tell the mom to hold off gse and add milk thistle and probiotics. I will also research which vitamins she is lacking at this moment. The mom cannot read English so she has asked me to post this question here. Today, my client is going to perform in her school play, " The Bremen Town Musicians. " For the first time in her life, she has her part! She is going to play a rooster. Her line is " I will do my best! " She did not talk at all 4 months ago...I am so proud of her! I am running out to see her first school play from now!! Jan, I appreciate so much for your comment! angelssmi1e On Sat, Nov 8, 2008 at 7:07 AM, Jan <mercurybabies2@...> wrote: > There is a supplement file in the list files, at the end of it, it has > a list of supplements for chelation. > Compare that to what she is taking to see what she needs more of. > > I do not see liver support, so I suggest milk thistle. > The spectrum complete and minerall are fine. I was told by two separate doctors, when my son was age 3, that he would never talk or even acknowledge my existence. He was assessed as developmentally age 0-3 months. He is now 12, he talks and even reads, does simple math, loves being with other kids and playing games, and basically acts like a normal child of a much younger age. Tell that mom that her child has a great chance of recovery! Dana
Guest guest
Dana, I really appreciate your suggestion. I just checked supplement fact list. Spectrum complete has 250mg vit c each serving and she gets 4 serving a day during chelation. It contains 25mcg of selenium as well, so she gets 100mcg a day. In addition to that, the mineral supp has 25mcg a day. she gets this only once a day though. How much vit.c and selenium does she need??? 1000mg a day?? I checked with the mom and found out that she has been giving probiotic(shin-biofermin S) 3 times a day. Active ingredients are Bifidobacterium bifidum18mg , Lactobacillus acidophilus18mg , Enterococcus faecalis18mg each serving. We are following dosage info on the bottle. but should we increase dosage during chelation?? Yeast protocol??...she gets yeast aid and nystatin now and gfcf and low sugar diet... Do you think we should give her 1/4 GSE too?? when is the best time to give her GSE? before bedtime?? > He is now 12, he talks and even reads, does simple math, loves being > with other kids and playing games, and basically acts like a normal > child of a much younger age. > Tell that mom that her child has a great chance of recovery! Thank your for sharing your story on recovery:) I will tell the mom about it and keep on trying to maximize child's potential! Today, I went to see my client perform in her school play. And she did amazing job with her line, " I will do my best! " and also followed all the movements and acting during the play:) This was the first time for her parents to see their child performing with her classmate. Last year, she could not even stay on the stage by herself. After the play, I went to pick up my client. When she saw me, she smiled and gave me a big hug. We went around the school to see her art work and academic work. She seemed so happy and proud about her work. When I told her, " You are so amazing!! " , she said " I know:P " giggling:) After that, we had 2.5 hours behavior therapy, she was very motivated and wrote letter, by herself to one of my other client who just became her pen pal, and she said " handsome " looking at his picture. With a big success in her play, she seemed to be more confident and motivated. She even played piano with no physical assistance for the first time today. butterfly song, twinkle twinkle, the bee song...she was reading the score and saying do le mi...and play with five fingers...She was just amazing...today. She is on her 3rd round on DMSA and ALA, has been on GFCF and taking supplements for two months. She is getting better and better! First day of the therapy, she mastered her name and saying " yes " . I could not beleive that she has been non-verbal for almost 7 years, and did not say a word until that day. she started to say, " give me " during second session, and give me ~ during second week. She started to answer to social questions, what's your name? etc. during third week... she can do simple additions, and read all hiragana letters and numbers. Write almost all letters. loves to do origami(paper craft), drawing... and understand 3 kinds of coins, penny, dime, and quater(in japanese yern), and enjoys pretend shopping game....all of these in just 4 months!!! I beleive that she can recover and have a wonderful life. Her mom and I always tell each other, " Let's do our best til she makes a beautiful bride " we are serious:) Her mom had tearly eyes all day today saying " She is a different person. " many times. wow, I wrote a lot..I am so excited about her progress and cannot stop talking about her.. she love my client like my younger sister.. Dana, thank you very much for your comment... And I want to thank members and andy for sharing information:) angelssmi1e

I've heard that yeast can cause a red ring around the anal area (along with other symptoms) and when that happens it makes dd very uncomfortable and that's a clue for trying yeast protocol (gse, biotin, goldenseal+chaparral+pau d'arco). Guest guest
Tapping means parasites for my daughter. So does the red ring. Lots of other things too. > > > > > > > Behaviors we want to correct are: > > > tapping objects endlessly > > > touching private area... > > > > > > The second one was almost always yeast here. > > > > > Hi Dana, > > It's interesting that the same happens to dd when yeast is present. > I've heard that yeast can cause a red ring around the anal area (along > with other symptoms) and when that happens it makes dd very > uncomfortable and that's a clue for trying yeast protocol (gse, biotin, > goldenseal+chaparral+pau d'arco). > > Marilia >
Guest guest
> Dana, > Spectrum complete has 250mg vit c each serving and she gets 4 serving > a day during chelation. So that would be 1000mg per day, which is minimal, in my opinion. Try adding another 250mg per dose, see if that helps. > It contains 25mcg of selenium as well, so she gets 100mcg a day. > In addition to that, the mineral supp has 25mcg a day. she gets this > only once a day though. 100mcg should be the maximum for most kids. Some older kids can go higher. If you give too much selenium, it causes massive headache [i know this from personal experience]. > I checked with the mom and found out that she has been giving > probiotic(shin-biofermin S) 3 times a day. > Active ingredients are Bifidobacterium bifidum18mg , Lactobacillus > acidophilus18mg , Enterococcus faecalis18mg each serving. This last one is a strep strain. If the child is prone to strep issues, either strep throat or strep in other areas of the body, I would not give that probiotic. > We are following dosage info on the bottle. but should we increase > dosage during chelation??
