Guest guest
Hi , Well, my answer is " I don't know " , but I wander around some on my way to " I don't know " , so you can wander with me: If he had JUST eaten ecoli (or any other toxic thing), then swallowing lots of activated charcoal would be extremely helpful. You can buy loose powder in a big tub pretty cheaply -- but I think it's kinda a specialized thing. Sometimes health food stores or herb stores sell it by the ounce. There are also capsules, but the one's I've seen are REALLY overpriced. Activated charcoal is really helpful. I wish I had a book to send you to to read about it -- I've heard that hospitals (sometimes) use it for poisoning, and I've talked to a mushroom collector who absolutely agreed that activated charcoal is the thing to use for an ingested toxic mushroom. Since it has been such a long time since he ate [whatever] I wonder if the problem has spread internally. If it were me, I would also drink lots of ozonated water. This is a totally impractical suggestion for most folks though, so best to ignore this comment. Although, now that I think about it, he could buy some homozone to clean out his digestive tract. High amounts of vitamin C might help too. I wonder if it might even be worthwhile to consult with someone about this. (There's a very well known vitamin C doc in my area -- I'm not sure if he's currently practicing medicine or not, but write me privately if you want to pursue this.) Probiotics seem like a reasonable thought too. Especially if he is (or has been) on antibiotics. AND LIVER DETOX in any form you like. I would think that his liver would be seriously overburdened and could use any help it can get. Acupunture would be helpful, if he has the time, money and inclination for it. Which of these is most helpful I don't know. And I'm sure there are many many other things that would also help. good wishes, Moria > > Hi All, > > My husband works across from a man who got severe food poisoning in an > outbreak locally that killed many and hospitalized many more. Guest guest
Sorry to hear about that. I'd recommend coconut kefir (or cocobiotic drink from Body Ecology which is ready made) and lots of lactobacillus acidophilus. Even unfermented young coconut juice would help restore some electrolytes. Some antioxidants would be helpful too, to counteract the endotoxins produced by the bad bacs. > > > > > Hi All, > > > > My husband works across from a man who got severe food poisoning in an > > outbreak locally that killed many and hospitalized many more. Guest guest
e coli...quick thought...blueberries!! lolol ...seriously, there is " something(s) " in blueberries that chews the heck out of ecoli...don't remember what it is, but thought that was neat when came across it - perhaps a glyconutrient? not even sure if that is the right word? Thinking maybe it was mannose, but am truly not sure....I am sure there are other foods/supps that would be comparable (ummmm, maybe wishing you, & him, the best, elizabeth > > Hi All, > > My husband works across from a man who got severe food poisoning in an > outbreak locally that killed many and hospitalized many more. Guest guest
He can try homeopathic Arsenicum Album first, and there are others I can look into with some more details - let me know off list. Guest guest
Hi, I have used " burbur " for this. Dr Cowden prescribed it for my son to detox him. My mom had food poisoning, I gave her 8 drops in water and the symptoms (fever chills etc) stopped within 5 mins. obviously this case is more severe. but I know that you can take 8 drops in 8 ozs every ten minutes for at least 5 rounds. This can be purchased from naturx in phoenix. I believe the brand is nutramedix. hope this helps > > > > > > Hi All, > > > > > > My husband works across from a man who got severe food poisoning > in an > > > outbreak locally that killed many and hospitalized many more. > They > > > tracked it to a rare form of e-coli that of the 11 cases in > recent > > > history they've only figured out 1.
