Guest guest
Dear J 30mg/kg dosage is just for one time to make a test, not for chelating, (we use 10mg/kg for chelating) you say it is too much, but you used 10mg per pound (this means more than 20mg/kg) for chelating. This is why you could not tolerate it! Because you used double dosage of DMSA. Thank you for your help to educate myself ! Cem From: <lindajaytee@...> Subject: [ ] Re: Heavy metals info please! Cem Kinaci Date: Saturday, October 4, 2008, 7:17 AM Dear Cem Kinaci, Please buy the two books by Dr. Cutler, PhD (see the links section) and educate yourself. Challenge tests should never be used because the huge challenge dose will drive metals INTO the brain and sensitive organs and tissues leading to long term, irreversible, horrible, worsening of symptoms. Next time you think challenge test, ask yourself to think about the " first do no harm " clause. The dose of 30 mg/kg that you suggest is unbelievable, and, from my own experience I would say that it would be cruel to administer to a mercury poisoned person. When I started chelating I had difficulty tolerating a dose of 1/10 mg per pound. There is also an interview with Dr. Cutler and Dr. Mark Schauss at the top of the links section where Dr. Cutler mentions why not to do challenge tests (part 2). Perhaps listening to the interview will help people to understand. Guest guest
Hi Cem Its good to have you here on the list, we have oodles of parents but few DAN's here, I know you are both! This list is where people come after bad experiences with challenge tests and high infrequent dosing on the DAN protocol, there are more than 6,000 of us here This list is where the very first DAN's who chelated learned how to do it and with good effect - see Amy Holmes case study series. A couple of years later DAN! changed the protocol. This group is all about 'first do no harm' and to take the most safe and efficient means to rid our kids and ourselves of metals. We do that using the Cutler protocol, based on science and low frequent dosing to half life of the agent used. DMSA 4 hourly DMPS 8 hourly ALA 3 hourly Bigger doses don't equal bigger dumps, I forget how to explain it, anyways please stay there is heaps of useful stuff here for a guy with an open mind like you! Hope all went well at your conference earlier this year Mandi in UK
Guest guest
Cem, The point J was trying to make (and others) is that the one time dose for " test " purposes is dangerous. You'll understand once you read Andy's books. It doeesn't just excrete mercury it moves is dangerously around. Once it once too much for that large dose. And yes, large amounts multiple times are bad too. If you look again at J's post, you will see she said she used 1/10 or 1 tenth mg per pound, not 10 mg per pound. That is much less than you propose. At our house we started with 1/16 mg or 1 sixteenth mg per pound. We are talking fractions of milligrams, not full milligrams. Hope that clears it up a bit for you.
