Guest guest
Sounds like he is happy to change his plans for you hun. Good on you for wanting to go out and have a good time.I do think that when we think positive what a difference it all makes to our lives. Woohoo for you hun Mandy Cry Baby I'm on day four of 's 2000 calorie food mover. So far, so good. I measure what I eat, I have a balanced diet, I am hydrated, and I am satisfied that my choices, while not perfect, are better now than they were when I was bingeing. I feel more attractive even though I weigh the same. This is due to less bloating, better skin color and texture, and the fact I feel no shame. I am not ashamed of who I am today. I know I am doing the best I can do. My husband told me he was going to play poker with the boys Saturday night. I told him I wanted to go out and I started to cry. In the past I never wanted to go out. He would leave and I would stay home and eat. I said, "now that I'm not eating all night in front of the TV, I want to go out! But because of the past, you would rather spend time with your friends than with me!" He said, "Ah, the missus! I just like to go out, and not stay home all the time! Pick a movie you like and we'll go out." Then I started to cry harder. Kim F Send instant messages to your online friends http://au.messenger. As far as crying - you are making MAJOR life changes, and how could that NOT lead to some pretty emotional moments? It sounds like your husband is happy to have you want to go out with him, and that is really great! Give yourself a break. It's okay to cry. You are changing inside and out, and believe me, you are not the only one who has been affected emotionally by this process. (I broke down and cried on Thanksgiving at the end of my 5K. Why? Because they took down the finish line banner right before I got there. I was last place, but I just completely broke down that they didn't wait the three extra minutes it took for me to get across the line. It's okay - sometimes a good cry is just what we need.) If you were eating/drinking a lot of sweets and/or caffeine and you're not now, you could be detoxing and causing your moods to swing so wildly. Hang in there - it does get better. Guest guest
, We were just talking today about how we cannot go to the Santa parade because our daughter refuses to wear a hat and gloves. I have no idea how she'd be at the parade either. It gets depressing not being able to do things typical families can do. Sometimes I go weeks without leaving the house. I haven't cried in a while, but for the past year I have cried quite a bit. This life isn't fair to our kids and it's not fair to us. We never signed on for this, it just happened and I hate 'autism'. I am starting to see who my daughter is now and that makes me happy. But the days are so up and down it's really hard to be consistently happy. I have become a co-dependent to my daughter. When she has a good day I am way up, when she has a bad day I am at the bottom. You're doing so much for your daughter. She's lucky to have you. > > Are you allowed to be a cry baby on this board??? I think 7 years of > working frantically to save my dd have finally surfaced. Guest guest
That is so good to hear, in a way... that your mood fluctuates with how your dd is feeling. That is exactly the way I am. It is such a roller coaster of emotions. Thanks for your reply. It helps. I love to see people be honest and let the rest of us know (who do that also) what kind of night your having. The original message was posted at 5pm on Saturday night, according to . At that time, I was watching the 70-90mph winds [relative humidity 7%] push a wildfire within one mile of my house. My car was packed and I had #2 and #3 with me [husband and other two kids were gone for the weekend]. My kids were outside watching the fire with me. They said " see the fire mommy " and I said " yes, we can see it, see how far away it is " but in my mind I was thinking " wow, see how close it is " . Over 10,000 people in my city were evacuated. The winds blew the fire right on by my house, thankfully, but close to 50 homes here were destroyed. More in the neighboring cities. I think 800 total so far. > I think tonight is going to be one of those nights for me as well. We should all make tonight a night of just letting it out!!! And sometimes, you have to keep it all in, so the kids remain calm. They slept like bricks on Saturday night, and the fact that I watched the fire pass right on by, allowed me to get about 5 hours of highly-interrupted sleep. We are coughing a LOT, way too much smoke in the air. But our house is still here. Dana

Guest guest
Dana, Sorry to hear you had to go through that. If I recall, this isn't the first time one of those threatened your house, but it sounds like it was close. Since our drought in OK ended, I don't miss nights like that. I noticed the smell of smoke in the air last night and actually didn't start scouting to see how close! That is the first time in 3 years. Those highly interrupted nights of sleep are no fun at all. Here they also include tornado season, but we put a sleeper sofa in the storm cellar (which is in the house) and can just all pile in and sleep through that. I know that feeling of wildfires though - we even got up and threw coats on over nighties one night here to help battle a blaze threatening our property at 2 a.m. The last thing I ever want to do again! I can truly sympathize, and hope that wildfire season is over at your house! Fires are the pits - and usually so avoidable here. Most aren't started by lightening, but by people throwing out cigarettes or the one who lit 10 miles of road on fire dragging a trailer with a bare wheel sending sparks into the ditch all the way. I actually got in my car and followed him home, then called the fire dept to tell them who started the fire - 2 cities and at least 3 fire depts had to activate for that! The guy was oblivious to the fact he was lighting fires!!! I couldn't get him to pull over or anything. UGH! Anyway, rambling, sorry. So glad to hear you are safe. I'm always wondering about you when I hear those fires are rolling through. P danasview wrote: > > > > > > THANK YOU!! Thanks for posting about your crying!!! If I recall, this isn't the > first time one of those threatened your house, but it sounds like it was > close. I live at the west end of a canyon. The north and east sides of my city border on " rugged desert wilderness " areas. North is Chino Hills State Park, over 12,000 acres which was 90% burned. East is Santa Ana Canyon, which is where the winds come from. It was also heavily burned. The fire started at the east end of Santa Ana Canyon, burned all the way thru the canyon, across the north side of my city, and the two cities further west. Many of the structures on the east and north sides of my city were burned. I live at the west end of the city, so usually the fires get close, but not as close as they did this year. >>Those highly interrupted nights of sleep are no fun at all. No, not fun, but I did sleep better than I thought, because I had watched the fire go *past* my house. There were a few " spot fires " caused by burning embers flying over 2 miles from the main fire, and setting houses on fire 2 miles away. So that kept me awake a bit. I went to the post office yesterday, and there were people there who were turning in " mail hold " cards, because their homes were destroyed. Very sad. >>Here > they also include tornado season, Not sure if I would prefer fires or tornadoes/hurricanes. We get earthquakes also, which I *much* prefer over any of these others! >>I can truly sympathize, and hope that wildfire season is over at > your house! October thru January, altho usually October and November are the worst. >>Fires are the pits - and usually so avoidable here. Most > aren't started by lightening, but by people throwing out cigarettes We get pyros here. People who like to watch fires, and they know the winds will create firestorms. The winds are bone-dry [less than 10% humidity] and can gust to hurricane strength. In previous years, quite a number of people have been convicted of arson and murder. But, at least for this set of winds and fires, we are thankfully okay. Altho I keep coughing. My kids are doing better than I am, which is good.
