Guest guest
Hi! I'm pretty new here! Wanted to say that my son [3yrs-35.6 lbs. ASD] plays just like your son does!..and don't know how to help him....some days he would play with his cars & trains normally but he likes to look at them very closely. he also looks at thing from the corner of his eyes. I'm trying to find a DAN! doctor to help us up. My son is GFCSSF diet and all natural, takes his multivitamins plus calcium & magnesium citrate. Any suggestions?? Boynton Beach, FL [ ] Reduced vitamin A - eye stim returning At the advice of my son's DAN! doctor, we discontinued his Klaire mycellized vitamin A. We had been giving him 1 drop daily for the past 20 months. The reason we were given to stop was that it could build up to toxic levels. He was getting Vitamin A (5,025 IU as vitamin A 5,005 IU palmitate and 25 IU as beta-carotene) in that one drop per day. He is still getting vitamin A through his CLO (1,300 - 3,000 IU) and his multivitamin (vitamin A acetate - 5,000 IU) - so he still gets 6,300 to 8,000 IU daily. We almost immediately noticed his old eye stim has returned. He lays on the floor and pushes his toy cars in front of his eyes at very close range. He will also play with them normally, but when he's tired, he flops down and runs them past his eyes. I have asked the doctor about it, but have not yet heard back. Any thoughts? It took my son TWO TIMES of high dose vitamin A protocol, to eliminate measles virus, before my son reached a toxic dose. Does he have any signs of toxicity? http://www.danasview.net/vitamina.htm >> He was getting Vitamin A (5,025 IU as vitamin A 5,005 > IU palmitate and 25 IU as beta-carotene) in that one drop per day. > He is still getting vitamin A through his CLO (1,300 – 3,000 IU) and > his multivitamin (vitamin A acetate – 5,000 IU) - so he still gets > 6,300 to 8,000 IU daily. > We almost immediately noticed his old eye stim has returned. This would mean he still needs that extra drop of vitamin A per day. My son required more than just vitamin A to eliminate visual stims, but since the visuals returned when you dropped the vitamin A dose, then I would add it back. Yep, this was one of my son's visual stims. > I have asked the doctor about it, but have not yet heard back. Any > thoughts? Add back that drop of vitamin A.
