Guest guest
Have you heard about lend4health? Take a look. http://lend4health.blogspot.com/ They offer loans - well, not really " they " - you put up your story, and essentially strangers, or friends and family, can loan you money for various treatments with no interest, and you pay back as you're able. I hear you on the HBOT - we rented a chamber for a month, and just returned it Friday, so I'm not sure how much it will help my son yet. He's had some mild improvements in speech so far, but if I see great things, that will be bad and good - Good because he's been helped, but bad because we can't afford to rent a chamber again, nor can we afford to buy one! I'll have to see how he does in the coming weeks, and if he does great (which it sounds like your son did with HBOT treatment!) lend4health might be the way to go! I originally thought about loaning others money on there, but as my husband points out every month, we're spending more than we're earning every month. Autism treatment is soooo expensive! It truly sucks, for lack of a better word. -
Guest guest
How about renting one. Or go to somebody's house and use their chamber for a fraction of the price. > OK - so as I sit here and type right now Ethan is screaming is > lungs out at the wall and like usual this will go on for hours > until he decides to take a nap. Guest guest
If you have a blog address maybe put your bank account details on there. Its wierd but there are actually alot of people out their with $$$ wondering what to do with it!! Here in New Zealand I saw a documentary on this couple that did a similar thing to rasie money to pay off their house anyway the weird thing was people donated money!! And what kind of a course is that?? look into it I am sure if you google online charities you'll get some ideas, I am intersted in the chamber your talking about I have not heard about it. > > OK - so as I sit here and type right now Ethan is screaming is lungs out at the wall and like usual this will go on for hours until he decides to take a nap. Guest guest
Have you tried Cutler protocol for chelation? Often when people see gains from HBOT, which then fade away, they still have a lot of mercury in their brains. You might find the HBOT treatments would be longer lasting or even permanent if you do them AFTER you have addressed mercury in the brain. Finance is an issue for most people, particularly for HBOT. Some people see such gains from Cutler protocol, they end up not needing HBOT. Guest guest
>If you have a blog address maybe put your bank account details on >there. I would strongly recommend AGAINST this. There are spiders and auto-trollers out there just waiting for bank information to be posted. Once you have an account and routing number you can forge an AFT (automated funds transfer). And unlike credit cards, there is no protection/refund process. I have seen bank accounts cleared out this way. Guest guest
Most people I know who do this set up a Paypal account linked to their e-mail address - actually, an e-mail address they create specifically to use Paypal to make it more secure. Paypal isn't 100% perfect, but it is a so much better option than putting your bank # on the internet. wrote: > > If you have a blog address maybe put your bank account details on > there. Guest guest
Kate I heard of a place that donates time in hard chamber. the unfortunate part is I DONT REMEMBER the name. I know it wasnt on either coast. I will really search hard to see if I can find it. There were many families that had 40 to 80 dives free. ________________________________ From: P. <the.great.zambini@...> Sent: Sunday, November 23, 2008 10:12:39 AM Subject: Re: [ ] Re: I have to vent!!! Guest guest
I'm really sorry to hear about your situation. Were the dives that your son did in a hard or soft chamber? I'd really like to know, as that is pretty amazing progress for 14 dives. Hard chamber dives tend to be more expensive per dive, but you need to do less overall. If you did soft chamber dives, there is a company that offers $30 per dive, but they are only in Arizona, I think. Another suggestion is to network on the various message boards. Perhaps there is a family close to where you are located who might be willing to share a chamber. More and more families are buying their own chambers and finding creative ways to share the cost. Good luck. > > OK - so as I sit here and type right now Ethan is screaming is lungs out at the wall and like usual this will go on for hours until he decides to take a nap. Long story short. And when I say responded I don't mean " one glorified moment of progress " I mean he went from non-verbal, in diapers and screaming all day (a severe, severe autistic) to potty trained almost over night (after 14 dives) and saying almost 40 words, AND NO SCREAMING!! Unfortuantely we couldn't keep it going financially. > > This is the most frustrating situation EVER! I have an answer as to how to get Ethan better, if not recovered and I have no way of accessing it. We've tried holding 2 different benefits to raise the money for a home chamber and they both were flops. We asked family and they said no. We make enough to cover our bills, cars, mortgage and some of Ethan's treatments. But by no means are we able to afford even a payment on a chamber right now. > > I'm sorry to sound like a whiny baby with nothing positive to say, it just sucks big time that we found a way out of this hell and we have no way getting it. Guest guest
Kate, could you please tell us what else you have tried and what his diet is like? I don't believe HBOT will address the underlying cause of the problem, it will just alleviate the inflammation and free radical damage for a period of time. I believe most of our kids have food allergies because the vaccines induce them. Food proteins and aluminum are used to induce allergies in lab rats. Interesting they are the same things used in vaccines. If you eliminate the food ingredients of his vaccines, I believe he will improve tremendously. One of the problems with DAN! is that they recommend Kirkman flavored vitamins that may contain MSG (they couln't tell me the source of their natural flavors). MSG causes free radical damage and my son did much better when I eliminated all forms from his diet. It is also possible that if your son is taking a multivitamin, he cannot tolerate something in it. My son couldn't take synthetic B vitamins and reacts badly to niacin in any product. So for what it's worth, I think food has a lot to do with it. We have never done HBOT, yet my son is a changed man since food removal and Andy Cutler protocol. > > OK - so as I sit here and type right now Ethan is screaming is lungs out at the wall and like usual this will go on for hours until he decides to take a nap. Guest guest
Kate, Andy has written in past posts that children who respond well to HBOT also generally respond well to 100% oxygen. How about trying this as an alternative? It's probably easier and cheaper to arrange than HBOT. He's also written that kids who are HBOT responders have poor brain perfusion, so consider trying perfusion enhancers that help the flow of oxygen to the brain as a substitute for HBOT. Hydergine is something that can help (it's Rx), gingko too. There must be other supplements or Rx that can help with blood flow but I can't think of the others right now. We tried hydergine here and didn't find that it helped much. But a few others on the list have used it, including Andy, and found that it can really help if it's warranted. Sorry if this has been mentioned by others in this thread, I haven't read all replies. HTH, > > OK - so as I sit here and type right now Ethan is screaming is lungs out at the wall and like usual this will go on for hours until he decides to take a nap. Long story short. Guest guest
Great suggestions . I don't recall anyone else suggesting it for this thread. Ginkgo Biloba has been working well for us. I agree a trial of ginko is definitely warranted if it has not been trialled already. iam2l84t wrote: > > Kate, > > Andy has written in past posts that children who respond well to HBOT > also generally respond well to 100% oxygen.
