Guest guest
Go slow with the antifungal dosing, increasing slowly, You can also add more probiotics doses. Die off takes time, but the symptoms you describe sound like yeast. You should see these symptoms go away or improve when the yeast is more in control. If he has a white coating on his tongue, when that goes away, his yeast is usually gone too. This reaction is normal. And can last a few days or more, depending on the antifungal used and how much is given. I use grapefruit seed for yeast and I found that starting at a low dose and slowly adding more every few days reduced the severity of the reaction. We also add more probiotics, so he is getting them twice a day. You can also try epsom salt baths to help calm him. They don't get rid of yeast, but the extra magnesium helps calm my son when he gets that way. > > From: ronnimike <HISSPECIALTOUCH@...> > Subject: [ ] wii question > > Date: Sunday, November 23, 2008, 12:00 AM > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Ditto everything Jan said. I started my 4yo on 1/4 tablet of GSE (equates to about 3 drops of liquid GSE) once a day, and he's been in such good mood lately. After a week, I started giving it to him twice a day. Next week I'll maybe up it to 3 times a day. He's also been on probiotics for the past month or so before starting GSE. I increased it to twice a day when I upped his GSE frequency. Sometimes prescriptions can be too strong, and you don't want to produce die-off symptoms as it's a sign that the body is not getting rid of toxins from the dead yeast cells. So I would back off the dosage and go very slowly. Guest guest
What is the actual dose that everyone is using when talking about one drop or tablet of GSE? I have seen different dosages of tablets. Mine are 250 mg tablets. It is hard to compare dosages if we are not on the same page in the quantity of suppliment used. Everyone is giving great advise, but I want to make sure I understand what the advise actually is. Thanks, Kelley > Go slow with the antifungal dosing, increasing slowly, You can also > add more probiotics doses. Die off takes time, but the symptoms you > describe sound like yeast. Guest guest
My tablet is 125mg by Nutribiotics. It says 1 tablet is equivalent to about 10-12 drops of their liquid GSE. Their liquid is 100mg per 10 drops, so 10mg per drop. So by giving my son 1/4 tablet, it's about 30mg. So if you want to start at a lower dose, you should split up your 250mg pill into at least 8, maybe even 10. Since this is hard, you can buy the lower dose tablet or crush it into a powder and divide them up equally into 8-10 dosages (it would be more ideal if you had a gram scale that weighed to 0.01 gram). Guest guest
Mine are 125 mg dose tablets. Your sound like the higher potency tablets Nutribiotic sells. I don't use drops at least not to eat. But usually as I have read you begin with 1-3 drops. So I think most of us are using the 125mg tabs, very good question! So you'd want to go even lower with your tabs to start. Since I began my son at 1/4 of a 125mg. > > > Go slow with the antifungal dosing, increasing slowly, You can also > > add more probiotics doses. Guest guest
I have been giving him 250mg a day with a no-phenol and he seems to be handling it fine. I used to have problems before I added the no-penol. I have gotten advice to possibly increase the GSE to a couple of times a day if I continue to have yeast problems during chelation. So far no huge yeast problems. If I do have them, what is a max dose for GSE? My son is 50 lbs. Kelley > What is the actual dose that everyone is using when talking about one drop > or tablet of GSE?
