Guest guest
I was taking Carlson's CLO 1 capsule a day up until a few days ago. I took it to my nutritionist at my chiropractor's office who did a muscle response test, and my body did not like even 1 capsule of it. So she recommended I'd take a balanced EFA, Udo's 3, 6, 9. I muscle-tested fine for 3 capsules. I started taking them today, and I can already feel the difference in my calmness. I don't know if I just needed the balanced formula, or I didn't tolerate CLO, or if it was Carlson's claim of " no detectable toxins. " FWIW, I really didn't have any side effects from the CLO - Udo's balanced formula was a better fit for me.
Guest guest
----- Original Message ----- From: Jan Well once again I try to help somebody and some else takes offense based upon some trivial part of the post that has nothing to do with the information provided. I don't know why everyone is so touchy on this group lately. But I guess that's why you don't see too many of us helping anymore. We get tired of constantly defending ourselves over things that honestly are small. ===>You know the saying " No good deed goes unpunished. " I agree, I fail to see the importance in correcting the original post. Even experts disagree re: the various companies with respect to their manufacturing process of cod liver oil. And I hope noone is claiming to be an expert on this topic or any other topic on this board. I don't see any experts on this board. The only people I've ever seen not be wrong are people who don't post, we've all been wrong, myself, Jan and Anita included, check the archives for the proof. I'll be wrong again, probably. What's the big deal? Re: Carlson's, Mark Schauss has told us repeatedly to be very suspicious of companies that fail to give their assays, Carlson's stalled and squawked and wouldn't provide me with one. I did an end run around them and found that their clo does meet the critieria for acceptable levels of metals/pcb's, but their conduct was less than stellar and unless I had a situation like Anita's I wouldn't use them in principal. Having said that there is nothing special about Carlson's clo that would lead one to believe that it is beneficial over other forms of clo. They get their fish liver oil from the same place as Nordic Naturals and have an identical manufacturing practice. The only difference is that NN puts their assay right on their website for everyone to see and Carlson's tried to hide theirs. Green Pastures, otoh, is one of the few companies who does not use heat and we have found their clo superior to both Carlson's and Nordic Naturals. I also have a place you can order GP from that has extremely low pricing, if anyone is interested. In the meantime until someone is crowned with the " expert " distinction, let's try to be a little less sensitive. -- In , " Anita " <mysuperteach@...> wrote: > > Yes, I realize it is up to the individual to make a choice and I am > aware of the posts you refer to.
