Guest guest
Dear Friends, Re: /message/10070 I had written to the forum some time ago and mentioned that a group of NGOs, under the aegis of Wake Up Pune, planned to apply for funding from the GFATM Round 9. I had then written that we had it on excellent authority that the India Country Proposal for Round 8 had been rejected on grounds of being fragmented and not being constructed around a single theme. I had therefore requested those in the " know of things " to share information on the priority areas for the India Country Proposal for Round 9. This was to ensure that Wake Up Pune would formulate its proposal in accordance with these priorities. To my surprise I have not received a single response to my mail. I am therefore compelled to arrive at the following conclusions: - 1. No member of this forum has any idea whatsoever as regards the priority areas for the India Country Proposal. OR 2. The GFATM in India is a closed club to which entry is highly restricted and by invitation only. Considering the number of people who write to the forum and claim affiliations to some of the most renowned institutions, academic and otherwise including NACO, I have no choice other than to arrive at the conclusion that gate crashers, like me, are not welcome to apply for funds from the GFATM. Or even worse, the India Country Proposal for GFATM Round 9, genuinely does not have a single common theme and will probably thus meet the same fate as that sent in for Round 8.
