Guest guest
We are coming up on round 6 of DMSA only chelation with our son. We still see improvement with each round. We would like to add in ALA next month. However, we used Cell food with our son, and are concerned that there were heavy metals in there, perhaps even mercury. We stopped using it at the end of August, as soon as we read Andy's post warning about the ingredients as listed in the product. Terri from BCN has posted that they had an independent heavy metal test run on Cell food, and that there were no detectable levels of lead or mercury as per that test. I have asked her to post the actual test results. Also, their test tested only for a handful of metals, and did not address the question of other potentially radioactive elements in the product. To make a long story short, I still do not know or trust what anyone says about this product for certain. So to err on the side of caution, I was thinking about waiting until a full 3 months have elapsed from when we ceased to use Cell Food, which would be around Thanksgiving. Am I being crazy in waiting this long? I would really like to start in a couple of rounds to add in ALA. But if Cell Food did in fact contain trace amounts of mercury, could I be hurting my son by introducing the ALA sooner? I just wanted to err on the side of caution. What do people think? Anyone in my situation with regard to cell food? Thanks. Irene
