CD4 Results are Fault at Govt ART centres

Dear Forum,

My name is Kumar(name changed)and I am living with HIV virus for the last

6years.when I was detected the virus my CD4 count was 300+,after that I started

working on my nutrition and stopped taking alcohol and drug, by the end of of

4th year my CD4 got improved and raised up to 680.

But recently I went to the follow up for my CD4 the result was 110.

I was shattered and felt like killing my self but latter on I went to a private

testing centre the result was 600+.

I feel TNSACS should address this matter since the quality of the CD4 kit is

giving negative impact and creating depression Like me many other PLHIV's result

is also the same.

Secondly there is no CD4 kit available at Govt hospitals in Chennai for the past

one months. The treatments are getting delayed and giving more burden to the

clients. so I request the PD TNSACS to address the issue as early as possible. I

am not bringing this as a compliant I am trying to show the gap.
