Guest guest Posted August 9, 2009 Report Share Posted August 9, 2009 Several cops in Tarntaran HIV, Hepatitis B positive: PAP ADG 08 Aug 2009 Kapurthala: More than 750 police personnel in Punjab's Tarantaran district were tested positive for HIV and Hepatitis B during a medical check-up, a senior officer of Punjab Armed Police (PAP) said today. PAP Additional Director General of Police J P Virdi said that over 750 police personnel in the district alone were found infected with HIV and Hepatitis B virus during the check-up at a recent medical camp. Virdi, who visited PAP service training center in connection with the 'Vanmahautsav' campaign, said Punjab Police was serious about the health of their personnel and spend a large amount of money on their physical well-being. He said that about 38,000 police personnel were trained in this center since its inception about 20 years ago.
