I don't know about the arginine/kidney connection but do know that many of us

here need lysine which counters arginine, particularly those who get cold sores.

Yikes! I just ran into arginine - which still mostly feels like

gobbledygook to me - I do know I think too much arginine is or can be

an issue for my girl..and connect with watermelon, which is okay once,

by third time not good (poss phenols there tho), ummm, wondering if

someone has a good working knowledge of arginine, and could expand on

the kidney/arginine connections? What I am reading/finding is making

my head rather spin ;) I am thinking I need to work on it from another

direction, maybe. Not sure where to go tho. Thanks for any input,

wishing all the best, elizabeth

I can't tell you about arginine and kidneys, but I will look into that.

I do know that arginine tends to increase herpes virus, and lysine

eliminates herpes virus. I gave my kids high dose lysine for 8

months, and when I was done, I had to give them arginine for a few

weeks, because the lysine had depleted the arginine.

But, the lysine eliminated the herpes!

[i am printing off everyone's suggestions for the kidney issues, to

give to my SIL. Thanks and keep them coming!]
