I'm a social worker voluntarily working along with the trichy district network

(NPT+). I thought that the CD4 count machines are faulty only in our district.

hence i didnt want to raise this as a complaint. But after knowing from you ,

i'm sure that in many centres this machine is showing false count results.

a few months back in our office some PLHAs were tested for their CD4 count by a

technician from YRG care. Those results didnt at all match with their actual cd4

count taken in the district ART centre. so i'm having a slight doubt about the

accuracy of the cd4 count machines at the ART centre after recogonising your

problem.

So its my humble request to the concerned authority to verify the accuracy of

those faulty machines periodically because based on those results only treatment

is being carried out for the PLHAs.

So kindly do the needful for the welfare of the PLHAs.
