Dear friends,

In continuous to our mail, Uttar Pradesh Welfare for People Living with HIV/AIDS

Society (UPNP+) has trying to set a wonderful example to see how effectively

prevention messages can be given to the society with minimum resources. In

Allahabad, Magh Mela is going on for a month. Eleven days has been already over.

The confidence of the volunteers have increased tremendously, they are not

hesitant to talk to people there including police, devotees, religious

institutions and finally the health department officials and convince them about

the need of HIV education & prevention messages.

The best part is the support from the religious institutions for making this

effort more acceptable. It has broken the myth that religious institutions would

oppose these efforts because they are effectively participating in the fight

against HIV.

We strongly believe that if the civil societies and organization who are

dedicated for work of HIV will support this event of UPNP+ then we all reach out

to Lakhs of people all over India who are participating in this Magh Mela.
