Guest guest
Here's a video link. It's rather lengthy but very scientific and goes into details about the carbon chains in fats. It's important to understand the science before attempting to debate the various oils: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7305832096911620394 Dr. Dina used to teach at Bastyr and is a long-time vegan but not the fanatical type at all. He breaks everything down into numbers and statistics and proves his point with logic and science. I recently took one of his courses and him and his wife are the picture of health. Most vegans I've met don't really seem that healthy, probably because there is a lot of processed vegan foods. Technically a vegan diet could include french fries. Vegans become vegans for various reasons. Some are not that interested in their own health but are more into animal welfare. Some do it for health reasons though. It was a very interesting course. I hope he writes a book some day. He does make a couple of mistakes in the video. One is corrected later and the other is basically a verbal typo where he says a wrong number but doesn't catch it. No big deal but I'm sure someone will notice so I thought I'd mention it. Sharon Hoehner www.sharethecause.com/detoxqueen
