Guest guest
Hi Friends, Hope some of you can offer insight. For the first time, I have been faced with a letter from the school saying my 12 year old needs a tetanus booster to stay in school. She has 3 brothers with ASD. IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE I RESEARCHED THIS ISSUE FOR OTHERS AND MY MEMORY IS FAILING HERE. Does anyone know if this is a vaccine whose titers can be measured, thus avoiding a booster? Would I be putting her at risk for avoiding a tetanus? Is there any other exemption besides religious in MA? Also, is this by itself a " safe " and necessary vaccine. Have not had to face this issue as my ADS boys are all older and were vaccinated before I became enlightened and educated. Thanks so much for any help you can give, Suzanne (she has some GI issues)
