Guest guest
Thank you Jim for your reply. My daughter takes 2 mg of folic acid/daily, so I don't think she's deficient at the moment. I will take a closer look in her mouth tonight but from your description, it does sound like H simplex. I went through a period where I got all kinds of strange mouth sores and it all stopped when I corrected my cortisol dosage. I was trying to do with less HC by taking more ACE and as I cut back on my HC, these sores started in my mouth. They lasted a few weeks and went away almost immediately when I inched the HC dosage back up. The link to me between the HC and sores was pretty obvious. I'm just now wondering if a root cause in my daughter could also be her cortisol insufficiency (she has unusually low levels). She has complained of painful bottom gums for as long as I can remember but for a long time, I thought this was a sensory problem. It's not the gums just under her teeth that are red, it's actually the bottom part of the gums and the inside of her bottom lip. I'll look into the treatments that you suggest. > > , > > Herpes simplex is the most common cause.
