That would be the very minimum. My son did better on longer rounds

and I preferred them because longer rounds in the end means less end

of round distributions. But, I wasn't constrained by things like

nursery or anything like that and 5 day rounds were completely

doable. So, if you can do the Sunday night, it probably would be

better.

That dose sounds like a good starting point. That's what my son used

for quite some time. Even now, 100 rounds in, we only use 12 mgs of

DMSA as I've foudn from my own taking it that too much DMSA makes me

feel very crappy. ALA doesn't.

There are lots of ways of dosing it. First, decide is your son

better at taking supps off a spoon or drinking them from a syringe?

When my son was that young, we used juice in a syringe. Now that

he's older, it's easier to give him the dose off a spoon. He stays

asleep now either way. In fact, he sleeps better chelation nights,

partially helped by the tiny dose of melatonin I add to each chelator

dose.

Either way, you could leave the things you need close by. For

example, if you use a syringe with juice, simply have a couple full

syringes sitting on a bag of ice, a couple empty cups, and your doses

in capsules (divide the dmsa up on baking paper with something like a

knife and then place it back into empty capsules or into small

plastic containers). When it's time to dose, put the juice into the

container, add the chelator, stir, and suck it up with the syringe.

I also give my son a drink after because dmsa and ala can stick in

the throat.

Do note that night doses are a great time to give other supps, like

Candex or probiotics, etc.

I'd recommend practicing this with something other than chelators so

if you fail, it won't matter. It does seem impossible, but most

kids learn pretty quickly to sleep right through the whole process.

Keep it as dark as possible.

If you have more questions, just ask. It does seem daunting, until

you do it, and then most people find, huh, that was easy!

yes, there are a whole bunch of ideas people have used here:

no -- you can do what you just said -- starting first thing on

Friday and going till as late as reasonable on Sunday.

Answers to that are also at the same page as URL above but in

a different section of the page.
