Our media training activities also include a global village session, “Making HIV and AIDS Programming More effective for the most affected and marginalised, on 21 July 2010 from 2.00-3.00 PM at the Global Village, Session Room 2”. The session aims to highlight the challenges faced by two marginalised communities: MSM and women. The speakers are: Meena Seshu, SANGRAM, India on challenges faced by sex workers and rights based approach to prostitution Shukriya Gul, Positive Woman, Pakistan Plus Society , Living with HIV Kent Klindera, Programme Manager, MSM Initiative, AMFAR who will provide a global perspective on challenges faced by MSM A MSM representative from Zambia personal expereince of living as MSM Gail Steckley, Senior Civil Society Officer, Partnerships Unit,The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria Global Fund and gender equality stategies Cheikh Traore, Senior Policy Advisor, HIV & Sexual Diversity, UNDP Policies and programmes for MSM and women The primary audience is the media. In addition to helping the media understand the challenges faced by the two communities , the session also aims at facilitating linkages between the two communities and the media and how they can work better. Come join us in the session to enrich the discussion.
