Subject: [ ] Anxiety - Drug or Supplement??

Hi Everyone:

My 9 yo old son with PDD has anxiety issues especially when it comes to more

challenging school work. He will either start whining or sometimes hit his

lap when we try to do some challenging school work. ABA therapy has helped

a little but I thinks he needs more to help him control himself from acting

out.

Is there a supplement that works well with this or is there a drug? I

really worry about side effects with drugs so I rather try supplements

first.

Thanks

Jeanne

I started my dd on Adrenal Cortex Extract and it has done wonders for

her focus.

ABA therapy has helped a little but I thinks he needs more to help him

control himself from acting out.

My #3 would shut down when I gave him an assignment that was a little

difficult for him. B12 and anti-virals were very helpful for this.

Hmm..brain work requires a LOT of glucose.....Challenging him with

something he feels he might not be able to achieve would be frustrating.

You could possibly try chromium (100 mcg daily) to help the insulin get

glucose into the cells. Stess reduces chromium quickly, studies show

these children are subject to high levels of oxidative stress.

I heard it recommended once by a doctor of Anthroposophic medicine

that rubbing the body every morning with Walnut oil, with some

Rosemary Essential oil, would help anxiety. (10:1 ratio or so)

He also said to use the same washcloth for about a week, then

wash/change out.

hope this helps.
