Guest guest
You can also mix GSE with hand-lotion and slather it on your soles as often as possible. Lining your shoes with humidity may actually not be helping. Have you tried wearing socks and different shoes? >I spoke about this a few weeks ago. Guest guest
This could be an Omega6, specifically GLA, deficiency..........Maybe try some Evening Primrose Oil and some carnitine to help it absorb. Guest guest
Michele On the doctors I think they treated a person with nasty bacteria and stinky feet soaking in black tea. I haven't tried but for sure next summer! Tammy [ ] Cracked, dry heals -- Revisited I spoke about this a few weeks ago. Someone did write me off-list at that time, so I am hoping an update is useful to a few folks. I wrote about it the first time after walking about 7 miles to pick my computer up from where it was in shop, being repaired. I believe that was back in August. My hard drive died on Monday, November 10th. That Saturday, my oldest son and I again made the long walk to take it for repairs. We picked it back up one week later (this past Saturday). So if anyone has wondered at my absence, there you have it: I had very limited internet access via my kids' Wii, which absolutely sucks for trying to type anything. What I have concluded is that the long walks make my feet worse. I think the reason it makes them worse is because whatever is growing on my soles feeds on the die-off that occurs as a result of these longs walks. I have found that folding up paper towels into quarters, dousing them with diet tonic water (which contains quinine), and lining the entire of my shoes that way (two paper towels each) does help kill the stuff on my feet. We have nicknamed this crap " barnacles " because of what it does to my skin. After treating it with diet tonic water (quinine), the gray-brown, rough skin begins dying in patches, revealing that it isn't skin at all but some kind of growth, and patches of pink, healthy skin show in between. Salt water baths are also helping. Generally treating for die-off symptoms, like eating more yogurt to get the yeast bloom under control, may also be helping. Hopefully, I won't need to make any more really long walks any time soon and can use what I have learned recently to clear up my feet. Peace. And I am absolutely sure the quinine in my shoes is helping. It's currently the most effective thing I am doing. Thanks. Will consider picking up primrose, though I don't like taking it because it makes me sunburn badly -- and even burn from being on the computer. Why do you think that might be related to the infection on my feet? Thanks. There is recent news of a college student (or high school student?) who tested a some traditional Indian herbs to determine if they could kill PA (pseudomonas aeruginosa). The one that did the best (terminalia chebulia) is apparently very high in tannins. So will see about picking up some tea. Thanks. Guest guest
GLA in the Evening Primrose is a natural anti-inflammatory. Also dry, cracked heels is a classic deficiency of GLA. But I can also that if a deficiency caused a specific weakness in that area, it would encourage infection. Will try to pick some up today and see if it helps. Thanks. Guest guest
Soaking feet in tea is really common in China. No special tea, i think, is necessary--any regular black tea is fine it seems.
