Guest guest Posted November 22, 2008 Report Share Posted November 22, 2008 OK - so as I sit here and type right now Ethan is screaming is lungs out at the wall and like usual this will go on for hours until he decides to take a nap. Long story short. My son is a complete non-responder to biomed and our dan docs are completely at wits end with what to try. The only thing he responded to is Hyperbarics. And when I say responded I don't mean " one glorified moment of progress " I mean he went from non-verbal, in diapers and screaming all day (a severe, severe autistic) to potty trained almost over night (after 14 dives) and saying almost 40 words, AND NO SCREAMING!! Unfortuantely we couldn't keep it going financially. This is the most frustrating situation EVER! I have an answer as to how to get Ethan better, if not recovered and I have no way of accessing it. We've tried holding 2 different benefits to raise the money for a home chamber and they both were flops. We asked family and they said no. We make enough to cover our bills, cars, mortgage and some of Ethan's treatments. But by no means are we able to afford even a payment on a chamber right now. I'm sorry to sound like a whiny baby with nothing positive to say, it just sucks big time that we found a way out of this hell and we have no way getting it. Just needed to vent!!
