Dear FORUM,

This is bring to your notice the front-page news of 10 July 2010 -

" Whistleblower ordeal to be probed " . TOI has done a great job in exposing the

high handedness of Punjab Police.

But my concern is something else. On the last line of this report the jounalist

named Rajesh as an HIV patient.

Hre is the issue - a person who is infected by HIV is not sick - by calling

him/her as HIV patient we actually discriminate and stigmatize.

I hope that journalist may understand and will refrain from writing so in

future.
