Guest guest
, my son has these pains too. I believe they are from the metals affecting the CNS. My son's started after we used several rounds of ALA then added DMSA. Started with his fingers about 6th round of ALA, then when we added DMSA, it got much worse especially in his feet. The dosing I used was too high and he is still having the issues on and off. We haven't chelated in almost a month now because of this and sickness. I plan on starting ALA probably today or tomorrow because we are finally getting over being sick. Google these terms and see if this is what your son is experiencing: Peripheral Neuropathy Stocking and glove parathesia If so, I think it's an indication your son needs chelation. In my opinion, you should start with a very small dose of ALA using Andy's protocol. > > My son has had these pains throughout his body as long as he's been > able to tell me about them (since about age 3.5). Kelley From: fontana_christine_elise <fontana_christine_elise@...> Subject: [ ] odd pains - mercury? Other? Date: Wednesday, August 27, 2008, 12:20 PM My son has had these pains throughout his body as long as he's been able to tell me about them (since about age 3.5). They can be in his hands, arms, legs, and feet. They can come out of nowhere, and can kind of come in phases - i.e. several times in one week, and then nothing for 2, etc. They can be any time of day. They don't seem to be in his muscles, but are also not in typical " growing pains " spots (which is the only answer I could find for it before - but it really doesn't make sense - who gets growing pains on the top of their foot?). I asked the Dr. several times about it, and she can't find any reason for it. We had his blood tested for a variety of diseases (I don't recall which) and everything is clear. I was wondering if this could possibly be due to mercury/aluminum/ lead or something else? Does anyone else have this or heard of someone else with this? I used to have to give him tylenol at times when it was bad, but for a good while now we use the homeopathic arnica remedy. thanks in advance. Guest guest
Oh boy did we have that!!! My dd since age 2 complained about sore ankles. Especially the right one. We had all kinds of tests. I don't hear her complain much since taking vitamins and doing the chelation. Wierd isn't it? Guest guest
Thanks everyone for your input. I am sooo relieved to hear that we aren't the only ones who have dealt with this - it just seemed like such a mystery, and that's always scary. I am just at the beginning of this whole thing - meaning, considering chelation. Most likely we'll be doing it, but I need to read for quite a bit first, and we'll be meeting with a dan dr. in a few months. I am very curious to see where his levels are at. Chelating just sounds so scary, and a lot of work (mental and emotional especially) but I am sure well worth the rewards. So glad to have found this group. > > > My son has had these pains throughout his body as long as he's been > > able to tell me about them (since about age 3.5). Guest guest
Dear , The kind of pains your son has were exactly like the ones I had when I had a loading with a mercury compound (cinnabar). They are neuralgic pains that can suddenly occur and vanish within seconds or stay for days on end. A soft breeze of wind in my face or a slight draft was extremely painful. The pains could occur in any part of the body but those in the face and hands were simply hell. The pains in my hands could be alleviated by flapping. I also remember pains in the top of my feet. There were other symptoms so much like those in autism that I started to research whether mercury played a role. I suffer from Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS). Being touched/hugged was painful, especially when people were wearing acrylic jumpers. Barium sulphate made the symtoms worse as it increased my hypersensitivity to electromagnetic fields. I could not bear to make eye contact. A critical glance was simply painful. Every sense (auditory, visual, feeling heat and cold etc) was heightened to an extreme. One similarity of MCS and autism is the lack of glutathione to detox heavy metals and environmental poisons. I had a good homeopathic MD who recommemed an isopathic remedy - Cinnabaris in an LM potency - and I was free of the pain within a week. The source of mercury loading was from drinking water. When I visited the place again I noticed the same symptoms. In the mean time I had found a medicinal plant in Ireland, common dock (Rumex obtusifolius/ alternatively R. crispus). Dock is one of the most obnoxious weeds here. A herbalist told me shw was using dock to detox mercury from amalgam dental " silver " fillings. A tincture from Rumex crispus D1 (Weleda) brought relief instantly. In the US a tincture from Rumex obtusifolius is available. This plant helped me to detox other toxins as well e.g hexachlorbenzene, parathion. Guest guest
Thank you for sharing this, Dorothee. Isn't it the principle of homeopathy to use a similar (or the same) substance to treat the offending substance/problem? What is the ingredient of cinnabaris? It's pretty scary to think of someone taking a substance with a mercury compound in its name for mercury poisoning. One thing different between adults and children is the blood-brain- barrier. I am not sure how far homeopathic remedies would go with children if they do not chelate mercury from the brain. If these substances truly work as you say they do, they may be worth using to relieve the body while chelating the brain. Of course I would need to know the exact ingredients and do a lot of research before trying it. > > > My son has had these pains throughout his body as long as he's been > > able to tell me about them (since about age 3.5). Guest guest
Body rubs, massages - just adding this idea to the mix ...All my kids have different versions of these same symptoms - the peripheral neuropathy tingling/pain/numbness, etc. (and I do consider it mercury related, for all of them) While it doesn't " fix " it, massages are a definite help around here - we like coconut oil the best, but also use walnut or olive oil. My migraine girl needed her legs and arms rubbed down daily, or more, for a long time - she was just under two, when we discovered how helpful this was for her & it is another thing that has only recently gone down...She " needs " a rubdown about once or twice a month these days, tho' we still give massages regularly & often, even tho they are not " needed. Guest guest
Yes! I do often rub the area that is bothering him. It may not make it go away, but at least it is a distraction and helps in that sense. My son also requests the massages also - which I love to do anyhow! Such a treat since most of the time he doesn't want to be touched. It is so great to have some answers to these things (answer being mercury most likely), and even more great to know there is hope for improvement, but, at the same time it is so maddening to me. I just get soo angry for all of the **** my son, my family (and for all of the other children/families)have had to put up with all these years b/c of these vaccines. I know we all must feel this way - truly, maddening. I know it doesn't do any good, but can't help it. I try to stay more positive minded most of the time! > > > > My son has had these pains throughout his body as long as he's been > > able to tell me about them (since about age 3.5). Guest guest
....oh, my girl too - she was so very frequently " untouchable " - almost nonstop migraines for way too long : ( I soooo totally enjoy her newfound snuggly " hug me " self that is going on these days - even when she gets that whiny demanding thing that makes my head spin...it still is too too cool. I have warring thoughts " eeerrrrr, just stop hanging on me " & " wow, check you out trying to plaster your own self under my skin, how cool is that? " Even the harder moments tend to be good moments,yk? ..love that.....and, just wanted to note, this is our third year of really working to address our most basic issues, from the digestion/belly type of issues, to the adrenal (n'more) type of things, and while we have had some really good results all along - this is the year/summer that it feels like we are totally getting better, that it is all coming together, and without all the preceding work, it would not be quite this good. Frustrating, sometimes, at the amount of time involved, but soooo worth taking the time for, yk? ....next stop, actually chelating The adrenal thing, for me personally, is a tough one - but close, very close I am & this totally rocks too even as it makes me totally growl.... wishing you the best answers elizabeth > > > > > > My son has had these pains throughout his body as long as he's been > > > able to tell me about them (since about age 3.5). Guest guest
for my son, these appear to be related to oxalate issues (very high on his OAT) which are in turn related to calcium regulation issues and yeast. it is worse after a round of chelation. chocolate, nuts, tofu and spinach are high oxalate foods. apparently detox as well as candida can result in calcium oxalates in the bloodstream which cause body aches. high dose vitamin C supplementation makes it much worse for him as excess vitamin C is converted to oxalate. we avoid excess vitamin C, calcium, high oxalate foods and control the yeast (Diflucan). and we will start vitamin K drops to improve calcium regulation.
