Not sure I buy that to be honest. It was the " chemicals " that they used in

the tagless stamps in the back of their clothes which was burning babies

skin not too long ago. So chemicals are being used somewhere. Flame

retardants, if they're not using them, they would have to have a tag stating

such, wouldn't they?

Subject: [ ] FYI - 's clothing

I called s today to find out if they use any flame retardants on

their clothes especially PJs and the associate " Suzie " whom I spoke to

claimed that s uses absolutely no chemicals or flame retardants

at all, not on any of their clothing. Hope this is true.

Well, I don't see how that is true. I buy s cloting and have a

store nearby and the PJ's, the ones made of polyester have tags that

say they have flame retardent materials. You have to look for all

cotton pajamas, the ones that fit snugly and they will say on the tag

that you should wear them snug, not flame retardant.

HTH.

Yes, fleece is polyester. Unless it specifically says that it is not

flame retardant and must be worn snugly, it is treated in the USA -

whether the people answering the phones know it or not. Don't know if

PJs have the same requirements in UK, Canada or other countries. But,

in the USA it has to be flame retardant or specifically say it isn't and

to be worn snugly. I think I've seen non-retardant PJs at Gap. You can

buy a few sizes too big too. Also, you could use 100% cotton teas or

sweats for PJs. I don't think they are treated. For the most part, my

kids sleep in underwear and t-shirts here.

usually the tag on the pj's say that they are flame retardants or not and wear

them snugly.

It's hard to find pj  w/out the chemicals.

Good to  know that   isn't using that chemical in the kids clothing...if

it's true.
