Guest guest
I've used it in the past with great success. I've only used the official " Sambucol " and not the other versions. They do make one that is alcohol free. Sambucol was removed from the market last year due to an error in labeling (not in the quality of the product), just in case you hear about that in your research. I still use OLE religiously in the winter months. I like it; no sense it is too harsh (aside from the pine needle taste). Pam > > I spoke to our DAN! today. Guest guest
Which market was it removed from? Do you know what the problem in labelling was? It's only concentrated fruit juice...what's the problem with that...sheesh... noaholiviaian schrieb: > > I've used it in the past with great success. Guest guest
We have used both sambucol and ole. Sambucol tastes bad. It is hard to mask it, and I had a lot of resistance getting my children to take it. OLE was our favorite of the two and my son was non verbal at the time so it's hard for me to say if it was harsh for him or not, but I do know that the whole chelation process was a grueling experience for him, as he tells me now, thanks for making me better, but I hate you for making me take all those pills. Guest guest
It's elderberry and can help during colds, coughs, virus's. I give it to my girls when they're getting a cold. Works well, tastes good and very mild. Kathy [ ] Anyone use Sambucol as anti viral & immune booster? >I spoke to our DAN! today. Guest guest
We have used elderberry and my kids like the taste of elderberry. We add pomogranete juice and elderberry to smoothies for added nutrition.
Guest guest
Irene, I've used all three of the supps you mention. Epicor has been great here, except for me. If I take epicor, my allergies get worse. I have been taking a natural product for allergies/asthma; my allergies are mostly gone and I actually just finished a " normal " cold, something I haven't had in a long time. So, epicor wasn't right for me with my overactive immune system but has been perfect for the rest of my family with underactive and regular immune systems. I'd ask the doctor how OLE is too " harsh " . Tons of people use it with really good effect. It can kill soil-based probiotics, which are important (there was a study done on depression and a missing soil based probiotic--it works as well as prozac when introduced to depressed mice) and so people should take that into account. OLE also constipated my son as it seems to have some effect on smooth muscle, but that is uncommon. I'd be more inclined to take into account how a child is doing than broad statements that aren't (as yet) substantiated. However, sambucol does have good research and is easy to acquire and give kids, so it wouldn't hurt to try that as well/instead. Anita > > I spoke to our DAN! today.
