Guest guest
I just got my kid's French porphyrin tests back and wondered if there is any place online to help decipher the results? They have flagged in red for my ASD daughter only PrCP/CP at 7,4. My son, not ASD and not chelated has red tags in PrCP 10,0 PrCP/UP 0,76 PrCP/CP 10,1 Does anyone know what these mean? Thanks,
Guest guest
For comment, post the reference ranges also. For interpretation look at http://www.brainchildnutritionals.com/PDF/Rossignol.pdf Bottom of page 5 gets to the interpretation. HTH, Rhonda > > I just received the test results from my son's urinary porphyrin test and was hoping for a little help with the interpretation of it. I know the lab will send me something later detailing how to do this, but like most parents, I really don't want to wait that long. I can't seem to figure out how to post the email results to this post so I am just going to add what I think must be most important here and hope that if I am missing something someone will let me know, so here goes: > > Uroporphyrin 14 nmol > Heptacarboxypporphyrin 3.8 nmol > hexacarboxyporphyrin 0.7 nmol > Pentacarboxyporphyrin 26 nmol > Coproporphyrin 294 nmol > > pcP/uP PreCOP/Uro RATIO 1.78 > (5CP+PCp)/(uP+7cP) RATIO 1.7 > pcP/5cP preCOP/5CXP RATIO 4.0 > pcP/cP preCOP/COP RATIO 9.1 > cP/uP URO/COP RATIO 19.6 > > > I don't know if you need all of these numbers or none of them to give me any advise, but anything would be welcome. I would be happy to post the whole file somewhere for anyone to look at if that would help, if someone can give me instructions on doing so because i am technically challenged that way, but can do with directions. > > Thanks in advance. Guest guest
Hi Betsy, Looks like mercury toxicity is definitely an issue for your son. His results look very similar to one of my boys who had high levels. Chelation has been very helpful for him. I recommend Cutler protocol because the other protocols will likely redistribute the mercury into his brain, gut and nervous system. We made that mistake at first and now that we're using Cutler protocol including ALA we are getting it out. I've found that liver support (milk thistle), adrenal support (adrenal cortex extract) and yeast control is essential for him. Feel free to email me, PJ > > I just received the test results from my son's urinary porphyrin test and was hoping for a little help with the interpretation of it.
