Guest guest
Laurie, I haven't dealt with any cavities for my kids yet but I've read that there is a treatment using ozone that avoids fillings altogether. I don't know more anymore than that, but maybe others can give you more info. Otherwise try googling keywords ozone, cavities, etc to see what comes up. I'll send you more info later if I can find some more information about this. HTH, > > Does anyone know if a regular Dentist has such an option as a (safe > filling)? Thanks, Laurie I have lots of fillings (and I'm old enough that the ones I have also have to be replaced from time to time as they wear out.) I don't know that there is anything that is TOTALLY safe. I have them use the white filling material -- maybe called composite, although I'm not certain about that. Call and ASK THEM about materials. This is a normal question, they should be able to answer it. My dental chart says " no amalgam " on it too -- I try to always remind them (EACH time), and I have asked them to ALSO write this in my chart. This is with a " regular " dentist. I'm not sure if I'd really use this method myself. The device (called a healozone) -- humm, well I was going to say it is not approved for use yet in the US, but ya'know, I haven't been following that for a couple of years so I'm not sure any more. There are a couple US dentists that have one, and also a few in Canada (again, my infor is dated, as well as possibly incomplete). More of these devices are in use in the UK (if I'm remembering right....) Moria
Guest guest
Laurie, is it a baby tooth or permanent? We didn't want a composite filling for our dd (plastics), so we decided to go with a zinc phosphate cement. This was recommended to us by a holistic dentist and it seemed the lesser toxic option.
