Guest guest
. The B-Complex 50, that I use has: 50Mg. Inositol and 21Mg. of Choline. Does this sound OK? Guest guest
Well I tried the B-Complex, and it is bitter sweet. It made her hyper after I gave it, but when it wore off I noticed her less impulsive going to bed. Ugh, now I have to figure out what in it, makes her wild... and what in it makes her less impulsive. I was going to try just giving a sprinkle of the stuff so she doesn't get so wild, but then I am not sure if it will still help the impulsiveness at night. Or should I says the heck with the B-Complex, and start trying one at a time?

Give with magnesium [if tolerated], carnitine, yeast control, and especially No-Fenol enzyme, see if that helps. >>Ugh, now I have to figure out what in it, makes her > wild... and what in it makes her less impulsive. For my son, that would have been the same B. The B6 caused wild hyper, but his body needed it, so he was much better once the hyper wore off. >> I was going to try > just giving a sprinkle of the stuff so she doesn't get so wild, but > then I am not sure if it will still help the impulsiveness at night. Try giving a sprinkle early in the morning, and another sprinkle at lunchtime. > Or should I says the heck with the B-Complex, and start trying one at > a time? I did that, which is how I knew about the B6 for my son. I gave each one of the Bs separately, to learn what each one did. Dana
Guest guest
My son had this problem too, so we got food-based B vitamins (Dailyfoods Balanced B Complex 100% whole food) and he tolerates these. For mine, I think it was the niacin that he wasn't tolerating because he would not tolerate other supplements containing niacin. (Chromium and GABA). So that is only my guess. Trial and error, one by one and you will figure it out. > > My DD has never tolerated B vitamins. I've even tried very high quality liquid and started > with a very low dose. Guest guest
Either they are made from yeast, which is often the reason people react to them...or he doesn't need them. My son only needed them for a short time, then they began to make him hyper. So we stopped giving them. > > My DD has never tolerated B vitamins. Guest guest
No thts on why b-complex wouldn't be tolerated Kathy; just a suggestion that, if you haven't already tried them, Country Life has a Co-enzyme B-complex that gets absorbed differently, and I think the B12 is methyl instead of cyano-cobalamin. They're about $15 at Vitamin Shoppe and under $5 a bottle of 60 caps at iherb; larger bottle even less. Guest guest
I never heard of them being made from yeast, Jan, how interesting. I believe the Hepatitis b vaccine can cause a yeast allergy in children because it is grown on yeast and the fact that it is present in the vaccine with an adjuvant can cause the body to recognize it as an intruder. A lady I know makes a very good argument for food proteins in with the adjuvant (aluminum) causing food allergies. She found journal articles and studies where aluminum and food proteins were used to induce allergies in rats. Her theory is to avoid all the food ingredients of vaccines your child was given, and the child will improve. I agree with her 100%. She has written a paper on it and Dr. McCandless is going to co-author it so it can be published in a scholarly journal. > > > > My DD has never tolerated B vitamins. Guest guest
I agree with the vaccine sensitizing kids to things. Also it contains yeasts, so those could explain the hard to treat resistant candida we battle. Some cheaper b vitamins are made from yeast, we found that out when we first began vitamins and the b complex gave my one kid diarrhea, so we looked at the ingredients and they were yeast derived B. So now we only buy yeast free b complex. > > > > > > My DD has never tolerated B vitamins. I've even tried very high > > quality liquid and started > > > with a very low dose. Guest guest
I think she does need them being she's never had any high dose of B's except MB12. She is also GFCF and very picky. She seems to get hyper and also itchy. I'm using a very good liquid that is free of any kind of additives. It's very pure. She does handle biotin o.k. though. Any thoughts as to why B vitamins may not be tolerated ?? B vitamins tend to cause phenol-like symptoms for kids who have phenol issues. They also tend to increase yeast. My son did not do well with B vitamins until about round 50 of ALA chelation. At that point, adding in the Bs caused major improvements.
