If you are doing Valtrex, I would hold off on the OLE. They are

both antivirals. See what the Valtrex does for you first. The

discussion that we have been having is that people may try to do

OLE/Virastop after using Valtrex to see if any additional viruses

emerge, and vice versa.

This is where people who have done it can post their data. Then we

can see if it is even necessary or worth the trouble. No one knows

yet, but we hope to find out in the coming months.

i will soon have a phone consult with my son's DAN doc. i have been moving toward stopping valtrex and instead, using OLE and cumanda. my son has been on valtrex for a while. it's time to make a little switch.

We are doing both OLE and Valtrex with nice results. Someone I

respect highly in all of this suggests throwing any and all

antivirals in the pot, as they all have their different mechanisms.

I am thinking about adding in Virstop again (we did six weeks of it

a while back) but need to get this yeast thing worked out. We just

did our first blood draw since starting this stuff. I will let

people know if I see anything interesting. As far as titers go, we

had some massive HHV6 IgGs before any of this. We have a long way

to go, but this antivirals stuff has made a nice difference in my

little guy's life.

That is great! I am glad your little guy is tolerating it. Keep us

posted with progress or problems!

That is how we did it. It does not hurt to follow it with a chaser of

a drink that your child likes.

It is anti-viral and anti-bacterial. It actually *increased* yeast

here, because viral die off tends to increase yeast.
