Guest guest
Hello Listmates - I recently came across some information that read that Clay has been found to have a wonderful chelating effect when applied trans-dermaly indicating that Clay has wonderful effect of pulling heavy metals gently out of our system. It also cautions about not using local clay unless you are 100% sure it is unpolluted and contains no heavy metals, especially to look for pure Bentonite clay. Has anyone tried this? Is this any good? Thanks, Maya
Guest guest
Hey Yes we have some, I think there is no need to worrie too much about the purity of it if just bathing in it some people also drink it. We add 2 cups to bath of warm water, the last bath we had, I was so drained afterward and body ached!! So perhaps just start with small amount it is very powerful stuff, it pull good minerals out so drink lots of fluids befor bath etc. And have a good dinner. ________________________________ From: mywonderbaby <mywonderbaby@...> Sent: Saturday, November 29, 2008 2:55:06 PM Subject: [ ] Clay Bath ? I attended a class about it at an herbal conference. It has lots of uses. It is very " drawing " . For example, it can be used on an infected cut (a paste of clay). Bentonite is often mixed with water and drunk with the intention of cleaning the colon (again, it is very drawing). I'm aware of a colon cleanse product that has bentonite as one of the ingredients. Probably you are reading about using it in baths. I've taken dozens of baths with bentonite. My personal belief is that it doesn't cannot affect mercury in areas it is not touching. I don't have any particular proof of this, but it makes sense to me. I'm also NOT saying that it does affect mercury at all. But, if it does, I don't see that it could have any systemic effect. Some health food stores sell bentonite by the ounce -- probably for people who want to take it orally (It is too expensive to buy enough for a bath this way). If you want to use it, you can buy it from some clay stores. Much cheaper. Call around. I ordered 10 or 20 pounds (or maybe it was more?) several years ago and still have some. Bentonite is a breathing hazard -- take care not to inhale the powder as you are mixing it or measuring it. best, Moria
Guest guest
If you are intereseted in trying a product http://www.magneticclay.com/ I believe this is a good quality product suggested by our Naturopathic DAN Dr. I cant say if the clay is responsible for my daughters improvements. We are doing so many other things. I will say she is impoving. Simone [ ] Clay Bath ? Bentonite clay?
