Guest guest
Dear Dr. Sreejit E M Re: /message/11437 Though I am not a doctor , I am a person working in the health-care field. In my family , there are both allopathic and ayurvedic doctors who were working in medical collages and govt services in very high positions. They agree the limits and limitations of their systems and depend the other systems whenever needed. As there is no good Gynaecology service for Ayurveda in Kerala, and Allopathy Gynaecology is well advanced , my uncle ( Dr.T.N.Yatheendran ) who was a senior ayurveda doctor in Kerala Govt service, consults her sister(Dr.T.N.Suseelabai ) who was a senior doctor in gynaecology division of Medical college . Similarly My aunt ( allopathy gynaecologist) consults my uncle( ayurveda doctor ) for many diseases like joint pains , back pains and certain typical kerala chronic diseases as she knows ayurveda is better for those diseases. For accidents/bone fractures allopathy is better , but for joint pains and back pain ayurveda is better. I know many good ayurveda doctors who have cured cancer and kidney diseases which were rejected by Medical colleges. My uncle was a kidney patient during his college days.On consultation at Medical college, Trivandrum , they told that one kidney is totally damaged and it should be removed immediately. But my grand father( C.K.Neelakantan vaidyan ) who was a famous ayurveda doctor , treated my uncle in ayurveda with panchakarma and cured my uncle. His damaged kidney was recovered and even after 40 long years, he is fine. Later my uncle also cured kidney patients , who were rejected by Allopathy hospitals. There are many cancer cases rejected by AIIMS , New Delhi, which were cured by Dr. Vaidya Balendu Prakash. You can enquire with Oncology division of AIIMS for this. That is why Dr. Vaidya Balendu Prakash is recognised by many international Cancer/Oncoloy societies . I know many very good Homeo doctors who have cured many patients rejected by both ayurveda and allopathy doctors. Dr.Patel , Kottayam was very famous all over kerala. Dr.Chandrasekharan ,(Serene Pulimoodu, Trivandrum) is very famous, expecially for treatment of thyroid cases. Let me reveal my own experience where Ayurveda , Homeopathy and Allopathy failed. I was having acidity related issues since I was 10yr old and till I was 40yrs. Upto age 30 it was not a severe issue. By the age 30 it became severe and I started medication in Allopathy. After three months medication it was reduced and on doctors advice I stopped further medication. But after three months it again became sever. Again I started medication on doctors advice and stopped when reduced. But after three months it again became sever. So this continued for two three years. As medication starts it will decrease. As medication stops after three months it will increase. As Allopathy was not successful I tried Ayurveda for two/three years. But the result was same, ie as medication starts it will decrease, as medication stops after three months it will increase. Then I tried for Homeopathy for two/ three years. But the result was same, ie as medication starts it will decrease, as medication stops after three months it will increase. So Allopathy , Aurveda and Homeopathy did not cure my acidity properly. Two years before , a naturopathy hotel (PATHAYAM) was started in Trivandrum. This hotel was on the way from my house to office and was just One kilometer away form my house. Just because of curiosity I started taking food from there. After taking food for just one month , my acidity was severely reduced. When I discussed with the doctors in my family , they told that naturopathic foods are non-acidic as they are less in spicy/masala. After two months my acidity was totally cured. For the last two years I am taking naturopthy food which saves me from acidity. For almost ten years I spent lot of money for treatment of acidity in Allopathy , Ayurveda and Homeopathy. But without any treatment and without the help of even a doctor my acidity was cured through Naturopathy. That does not mean that Naturopathy is greater than other systems. Each system of medicine is better for certain diseases. Therefore we should have an integrated system for treatment of diseases. When a patient comes for the treatment of a disease he should be treated with the best system of medicine suitable for that disease. Guest guest
Dear Sunil, Re: /message/11437 I cannot agree with you more on the importance of an integrated holistic system of medicine. I am an allopathic practitioner and i will vouch by allopathy for its antibiotics, critical care managements and comprehensive research methodologies. But I will agree that there are many other health conditions which dont have a definitive allopathic cure. Today the key word is evidence based medicine on which allopathic cures are guidelined. And the evidence of the so called " alternative systems " is predominantly anecdotal. Thats the primary reason why allopathy seems to be more readily acceptable to the mind. Work is on.GOI has started AYUSH...dedicated journals are being.. well planned research trials are yet to catch the fantasies of pharma companies.. ... and i believe India will be leading the bandwagon for the cure or the " incurables by allopathy " in near future... Cheers, Dr. Akhil Goel (doc.akhilgoel@...)
