Guest guest
www.myrxforless.com has good service (I've bought Cytomel from them) and they have generic Armour dirt cheap. It is what I am gonna use to buy mine, next month. The shipping fee is high when compared to the price of the meds, so it is best to get 3 bottles at once. Jan Robin Alligood wrote: >Thanks Jan. Guest guest
I believe that all your surgeries have come from poorly treated hypothyroidism, WOW. Are you taking cod liver oil b/c there is evidence that vitamins D and A protect against colon cancer. 3 grains is high dose but might be right for you. Gracia > Hi all. Guest guest
Ty for your quick response. I am not taking any vitamins at the moment, I am researching the effects on them with the use of this new medicine. I am followed up very closely for any reocurrence of my colon cancer since I was only 45 when I was dx, as you may know it is a slow growing cancer usually. I have colonoscopies now every 2 years ,yuck. I was just lucky to have had symptoms, and it was caught early enough that it was curable and I didn't have to be treated with chemo. As for the dosing of the Armour, I thought it was a high dose also, but I am going to be retested in 6 weeks. It is hard for me to notice any side effects from too high of a dose as I have hotflashes and night sweats, and an mytral valve prolapse. They all cause the same effects one would get if they were on to high of a dose of thyroid medicine. I live in the desert, so I can't even go by cold intolerance lol. I usually just go by the brain fog, dry skin, weight gain muscle achesect. I hope this new med works for me. I will let you know. Thanks for your input. Akasha P.S. I also believe my surgeries were needed because of my under treated hypothyroidism. > > I believe that all your surgeries have come from poorly treated > hypothyroidism, WOW. Guest guest
Hi , Docs give us the T4 meds but most of us like Armour thyroid, so then we have to figure out how to get it and get enough of it. Kind of a drag. see http://www.armourthyroid.com Gracia > I'm sort of new, sort of lurking a while, not having had time to read > all the postings, so many! Guest guest
I am also on levothyroxine (0.075 mg). Is the 13% bone loss true? Anyone know of a study on this? If so, I would like to see the study. Thanks. --- the Dreamer <unique@...> wrote: > I'm sort of new, sort of lurking a while, not having > had time to read > all the postings, so many! It is mentioned in Abbott Lab's material on Synthroid, with the conclusion that long term use of synthetic T4 was associated with bone loss in some women (not men) due to an acceleration of calcium release. It seemed to suggest the effect was treatable but worth watching for, since it would aggravate those who would get osteoporosis anyway. Guest guest
Armour contains calcitonen, another thyroid hormone that helps to fix calcium to bone. My teeth have gotten much thicker on Armour. Guest guest
Yea, I'm back and way behind on emails. I'm reading a book called Feeling fat, fuzzy or frazzled? and it is wonderful information some of which Gracia has already been enlightening us with. I've got a question, does anyone have a source for Armour (not the wanna be's) without a prescription at a decent price? --- Gracia <circe@...> wrote: > > Armour contains calcitonen, another thyroid hormone > that helps to fix > calcium to bone. I was really excited because I thought I would feel better, have more energy, lose weight, etc. After 3 or 4 months my heart beat hard all the time which made me much more tired etc. I then went to a ND who suggested I take Metabolic Thyro. I've been on that for about 3 years now and do feel much better but nothing replaces the body working correctly on it's on. This supplement also addresses the adrenal issue. If you have throid problems, you have adrenal problems. I realize we are all different and some people do great on synthroid but for those of you who don't....http://www.doctorsresearch.com/prod_metathyro.html Edith

Guest guest
Dottie, You really should read this book about Adernal fatigue,by Its got so many tips in it, health suggestions, like taking extra B- complex, 7 keto DHEA, Vit E in this form - beta -tocopherols, Pantothenic Acid, Magnesium is like a spark plug for your adrenals, you need 400mgs of Mag citrate a day, the list is long, of suggestions its a must read. He talks about coffee - not to be drinking all day, as your only making matters worse, and if you do drink it, drink it with food and cream in your coffee. Wishing you the best. Guest guest
Yes that is a great book - he is very thorough - I find I have to keep going back to it because there is a lot of info and good suggestions and in my " mentally challenged " state I tend to forget things like this quickly. A health log is a must...write all the things you decide to do on some kind of checklist. Even if you forget a lot of things at least you can see you've forgotten them and have another shot at it. Its very challenging trying to manage a healing regime that is more complex and demanding than most people's day job - and we have to do it all on no income (cos we lost our jobs years ago) and with half a brain and a burned out body!!!!! LOL How good are we????? Guest guest
you are on too little Armour! Just take enough so you feel better, nevermind TSH.
