Guest guest
I just started ALA with my son. I'm using Kirkman's. The powder doesn't seem to dissolve very well in liquid. This may seem like a really dumb problem...but I want to get the dose in minimal amt of fluid. I was planning to give it via syringe, dissolved in a small amt of warm water for the night- time doses. But it leaves much of the ALA in the tiny glass bowl, once I draw it up into syringe. Is there a better way? Or a better form? Or is this pretty usual? Should I increase dose, allowing for the wasted residual in the bottom of the glass cup? Since I just started, I am doing .125 mg per pound (which means 4 mg per dose for my 32- pound sweetie). But maybe I should increase-- if this is tolerated--since I am leaving visible amts. clinging to the side of the bowl? Thanks for ideas...
