Guest guest
If it were me: I'd find a new doctor. One that does not make such careless mistakes, since next time it could be something worse, such as a medication error that is fatal. It should have been written in the child's file that she already had the vaccine. Secondly, if she is going to vaccinate, she needs to keep track herself of what is given, and when..so that multiple doses are not given from different doctors or in error. Honestly, I don't trust them. Our doctor gave my child the chicken pox vaccine with his MMR and never mentioned that they were giving it. I didn't get a paper about it or anything. It was not until years later when I asked for the immunizations that I saw he had it. So they do things and don't ask you. Make it very clear to the new doctor..that you must give permission for each vaccine. Which ones she wants and when if she is not following the standard schedule. I would also encourage her to read " what your doctor may not tell you about vaccines " and some of those type of books. It helps to weigh the true risks of the vaccines against the true risks of the disease. Most if not all the time, you find the risk of vaccines is higher than any of the diseases. Watch the baby for any unusual behavior (leg twitches, or lack of muscle tone) or feeding changes ( not eating rather, fussiness, not sleeping, sleeping too much. I would also not allow the four month IPV dosed based upon the fact she had two doses already. These shots do contain antibiotics. One may want to give the baby probiotics in case the injected antibiotics can cause any problems. I thin this is why my child is allergic to penicillian, because he recieved via injection before he ever ingested it. If this baby is breastfed, continue that to help with immune function. Watch for any of the following, these are associated with the polio vaccine: Gullien Barre syndrome, lower motor neuron weakness, encephalitis, meningitis, and convulsions. It is never harmless to give vaccines, especially not extra doses close together. I hate when doctors trivialize. I do hope her baby is ok. This is her warning sign not to trust these people and maybe to seriously rethink if those vaccines are even needed. No harm in waiting till the child is older either. > > Listmates, > My friend has a newborn that received a polio vaccine at 2 months, then > 2 weeks later, the doctors office mistakenly gave the baby another > polio vaccine. Guest guest
I believe this happens more than people realize. Once upon a time, I trusted our family doctor (now I don't even trust a DAN, but that's another whole story....). I figured they were keeping good track of what vaccinations they were shooting into my baby. Imagine my surprize when I got his vax record after he was diagnosed this past year, and swiitched to a non-vax friendly family doc, and saw that my son was given not one, but 2 MMR's about a month and a half apart at 12 and 13.5 months. That's when he stopped sleeping. > > Listmates, > My friend has a newborn that received a polio vaccine at 2 months, then > 2 weeks later, the doctors office mistakenly gave the baby another > polio vaccine. Guest guest
Excellent advice already! I would add that your friend research online extensively about what seizures look like in babies, especially " absence seizures " and head dropping. And get medical attention (and report to VAERS of course) re: ANY odd symptoms, tummy problems, sleep problems, fussiness, vomiting, anything. It is impossible for one to be over-vigilant on this front IMO, she needs to document all reactions in real time. She also needs to find out the Manufacturer and Brand name of the shots given. She can look up here to find ingredients www.novaccine.com And find online and print out the current package insert, as they contain a wide list of adverse reactions listed right there in them which may be relevant later in life. best, Liora > > > > Listmates, > > My friend has a newborn that received a polio vaccine at 2 months, then > > 2 weeks later, the doctors office mistakenly gave the baby another > > polio vaccine. Guest guest
NAET treatment for polio vaccine? S S Off Topic Help for a friend Posted by: " Kris Young " Kyoung110a@... kyoung110a Tue Dec 2, 2008 12:04 pm (PST) Listmates, My friend has a newborn that received a polio vaccine at 2 months, then 2 weeks later, the doctors office mistakenly gave the baby another polio vaccine. The doctor told her that the baby will be fine, just a little soar at the injection site. Is there anything she should look for, or what would any of you do if this happened? I gave her Cave's safe vaccine schedule when her baby was born, if she chose to vaccinate. She was trying to follow a safe schedule when this mistake was made. Anybody? Thanks! Guest guest
Yo have got great advice already. I would just tell your friend that she needs to be on top of things and ask the right questions before giving anything to her child. I can still clearly remember the day the nurse was so upset with me because I refused the flu vaccine because she already got it out thinking I would take it. I was so foolish, I let her put the MMR and not the flu vaccine on my child. If only I knew then, I would have snatched the vaccine from her hand and threw it.
